Female Fighters

Is it just me, or does it seem like the female characters have smaller hit boxes? Kano's 112 hits mid but it whiffs over crouch blocking females. Kano himself needs a lot of hit box fixes, but I think the women in general need their hit boxes enlarged to that of the male characters. It's not like they're weaker or slower than their male adversaries. Why make them a harder target to hit? Poor torr. Anyone else notice this?

The smart stuff!
Yeah, they are smaller. If I'm not mistaken, there are 3 kinds of hitboxes in this game: female ones, standard male ones, and large male ones (Jax, Kotal, Goro, Pred, Tremor, Jason and F/T). One of Sub0 corner clone set ups works only on large ones, that's the reason behind my guess that there are at least 3 types of them hitboxes. The worst part is - they are all breathing. :(

Bigger characters are usually slower but stronger. Female characters are typically smaller, thus with less real estate to actually hit. This is a historically common fighting game concept that may or may not help or hinder a game. But it's definitely present in just about every game I've played. The difference in NRS games, however, can sometimes be pretty dramatic.

Though would you rather see Goro low profiling every move, doing splits and maneuvering with the flexibility of Tanya?

Thats whats bothered me about these NRS games since MK9. Female hitboxes are insanely small. So you have moves/specials that wont work on them consistently, or at all in certain parts of a stage. Combos that have to be adjusted for them specifically which normally results in less damage because, again, things not working consistently or at all.

Female hitboxes are one of my biggest gripes with this game honestly, I understand mechanic wise why they exist but at the same time it should never be this bad. The fact that you have to greatly adjust setups/combos and potentially lose a lot of damage depending on the gender you're playing against is pathetic.

Unless Goro's damage is buffed to compensate his having a hitbox the size of Colorado then yeah, I do want him low profiling everything

Why not? Big boys can be agile and get low too like them thin mints, just ask Meghan and friends:

I think it's hilarious if you want to add phantom hitboxes to those who are naturally slimmer, faster, and usually those of the female variety. If you can't hit a girl, at least you'll have another reason why you can't now.

Well, females aren't as tall as males in this game, and until they are, you have to deal with it.
If only we had Kappas..

I would love to see Goro with insane flexibility. There is nothing NRS could do that could make me laugh harder than to have Goro be a world class gymnast. Make it happen. #shokansplits

Gentleman.
I came in here thinking the title was going to lead me to this great joke about how the TYM community wouldnt be below requesting nerfs of actual women since we couldn't close the goddamn deal on the first meet, hence theyre OP bitches and we cry for nerfs, but then i read the post. Still interesting, but...missed opportunity.
