God, this is EVO. This is top 16. Can someone give the commentators updated brackets so that they don't have to keep wondering "what happened to X player?"

ugh, What a day. Worked 14 hours today, did my damndest to watch as many matches as I could and keep up with thread. Finally just plopped on my couch with a beer in time for the end of the honeybee game. T

How does this change the fact that Foxy was the best draw for Pig?

I'd say you're definitely not doing it right, unless Foxy beat Pig in this tournament.

Oh, it's selective argumentation at its finest, just like yours. So I'm doing it exactly right. Also, for someone who does this in every thread, it's OK to be wrong. Take a joke.

It doesn't make any sense. Me saying that a certain player is the best matchup for another player isn't a selective argument -- it's just an evaluation based on knowledge of each players' tendencies, preparation, and strengths.

And as I said, whoever beats or outplaces each other against other opponents has no bearing on who's the best matchup against one particular player. Jokes should at least make sense, and be funny :)

You didn't say character. You were talking about players. Come on, like seriously, it was a shot at Foxy, and it's OK. It's what makes this place entertaining. Be transparent at least.

I don't understand why Sonic Fox ever got away from Erron Black. It forced us through some nonsense around these parts about that character not being as good as advertised.

Nor did I say anything about character. I was talking strictly about player matchups, vs. one player. And nothing about that matchup has changed.

It was not a shot at Foxy -- it was an assessment of Pig's readiness to deal with him. Pig being specifically prepared for him doesn't make him a bad player.
