Bigfool (Tanya - Kobu Jutsu) Wins MKX Glasgow Tournament #1

Today, MKX Glasgow in Scotland had its first tournament with a grand total of 6 entrants. It wasn't very long, the stakes were not high and it had a humongous pot of around £18, a Mortal Kombat X t-shirt and a gold scorpion skin for the PS4. The venue was at Glasgow's very own "Max-XP" and was streamed on Twitch.

Thanks to Mark for hosting this and organising this tournament, we all think this is a good start for something that should grow. This was also great practice for "Armagedinburgh" a larger event that will take place in around two weeks time in Edinburgh, Scotland. Not as popular in the area we're at, the distance people are willing to travel isn't as big compared to other countries. I'm not sure what it's like in other parts of Scotland, but I'm for sure going to start travelling more places to play. I don't want this game to die. There were a lot more people playing at the place but NRS kept changing the meta with all the patches and a large majority got pissed off with that and not allowing the game to really breathe. So they quit :/

I didn't know the matchup, if you watch the archive after the tourney Bigfool and myself have a very long set where I try and learn the matchup. She's still good, but I'm not too experienced.

I drove from Birkenhead all the way to Warsaw once. Wasn't a fun time.
Wish I still lived out there, I'd have gladly drove like the 2 or 3 hours it woulda taken.
Now I'm in the middle of nowhere with a 6 hour drive in any direction.

I know the feeling, I'm luckily and only just over an hour from casuals but it's expensive to go every week - fuel or train fares aren't cheap when you do it every week. I live in the countryside now and I have to plan and travel for almost everything lol.

Ahh, I thought you meant you travelled for games lol I was laughing at that haha. I can imagine you'd need to treat your car to a nice checkout and maintainance by a mechanic or a get new one after something extreme like that. I love flying though but to each their own.

There's actually no Tanya teleport spam or anything like that because Bigfool knows it'd get patched, so he doesn't abuse anything.

She's normalised now, she has like her recovey frames on teleports and her rekkas are more unsafe the more they're delayed etc.

I would have used more if there were more games lol I still had Kitana, Quan, Kung, Jason and whatever other characters I know to use lol.
