Official MK9 Tournament Entrants Statistics Thread

Reaching the point where we are close to 6 months from Mortal Kombat 9's game disc going in to your system for the first time till this past weekend's tournament with 94 entrants. So, how are we doing so far in the United States that is? The reason I say the "United States" is because the statistics I am about to post mainly deal with US majors.

The main reason I am posting this is to put some more fuel in your tanks - to make you wanna come out to your next tournament 'that' much more - to start planning now - to stand by your game and not let it die - to make a change today that will effect the future of Mortal Kombat... and ultimately increase the likelihood of Mortal Kombat 9 returning to Evo 2012.

We must also show immense love to all of our international friends and players from all parts of the world and thank them for their efforts and changing our community for the good and for the better by coming to our forums and supporting each others events to the highest and continue to do this.

Okay, so let's start:

PowerUp 2011: 66 players
CEO: 122 players
ECT3: 138
Evo 2011: 510 *confirmed
Devastation: approx 180
Season's Beatings Velocity: 95
Midwest Championships: ?
UFGT7: ?


^ These are not in any kind of order... they're in the order I thought of them... (trying to go from first to most recent)

Also, please post any tournament information that you guys or girls may have concerning these statistics... I'd like to get a nice orginaized thread going for us to look back at and smile.

Whats the website thats compiled tourney results from like, the last decade??? its a new site too, but i cant remember it. :(

You should add PDP, didn't it have like 280?

And I think Revelations had like 69 maybe, I'm not certain.

That's kinda why I left this thread open... so that others can add any number for all tournaments as long as it it accurate. I don't know the number PDP had so I didn;t add it.

BTW this rankings site is pretty cool. With his showings at Devastation and SB Reo has just overtaken PL as #1.

There was no Midwest Championships this year. Keits ran it last year then Jason Wilson wanted the name back, so UFGT was essentially the replacement for it.

Speaking of which, I think MK had 90 at UFGT. I remember it being 1 more than the mystery tournament, lol.

And 66 for Powerup wasn't that bad actually, considering no tournament even had 128 there. Only top 8 got Evo points at that event, everywhere else it was top 16.

So next on the horizon are Canada Cup (though I still doubt this will draw much for MK), SCR, and NEC. After that I think Winter Brawl and Final Round, but the Evo lineup may be decided even before those...
