Question - Tanya How good is Tanya...really?

I'm not going to vote because I play Goro and it would be a vote of just complete salt.

Highest mobility character > lowest mobility character.

I'm reserving judgment until I properly lab her but MAN I was getting blown up by my training partner's tanya lol

Her myriad of options and quality of tools make her dumb as fuck. Adding insult to injury, all of her variations are good. What other character is good in every variation?

I don't get you saying this... isn't it the aim for ALL characters to have three viable variations??? Why nerf her or change her because she has what all of us want for our characters - three balanced variations...

As a Scorpion main I beat Tanya players by simply jumping like a noob all game and catching them in 40% Combos lol. Teleport deez nuts.

She has one of the better D2s in the game. Dont think that will work on all Tanyas lol.

I think she's really, really good but calling her overpowered is probably a stretch. As always, characters with high mobility tend to be high tier characters . . . Tanya is no exception.

Her fundamental moves are what need tweaking if anything, thats why shes strong in all 3. The teleport should just take stamina so its not as braindead, problem solved. All teleports should be like that.

Well you can't make that cost stamina and have tele cancel pressure.

If you do that you ruin the other.

You're probably right lol, but so far it has. I only do it when she is constantly teleporting I just constantly jump life a frog and counter teleport.

Yes... his shit teleport should be free too - I thought that it was weird. Raiden is my No. 2 and displacer is almost useless. His teleport should have less recovery frames too. Whenever you do one, he just stands there like a fool waiting to be hit. Shame - I thought this would be my variation.

Fix Mileena's Ethereal too while we are at it to make it viable.

I'm normally not the one to do this, but maybe you should adjust your game plan and learn how to fight against it. It's a match up. Every character should have to be fought differently.. It's a fighting game.

@RexyWrecks handles Tanya just fine by reading teleports and punishing appropriately. He also doesnt let Tanya harrass him endlessly. Take a page from his book..

Exactly this! I recorded some difficult maneuvers to deal with on Tanya, loaded up my main and found the best options. She's still tricky but she is also so new.

I have, I so far ive only lost to the TYM tanyas ive played (i thought she was free from playing randoms) my character has the tools to fight her, but I don't think a lot of the roster can say the same. I also didn't know she was teleporting for free, which doesn't seem fair since my teleport costs stamina. The corner is there so zoning doesn't last forever, high mobility/good wakeups + zoning is always a bad combination, Im starting to see what people are talking about but i voted that it was too early to tell and I stand by that.
