Different players are going to have different opinions on the subject. Some Reptile fans just want damage, some just want better "things" (like myself), and others want both, which is silly, but so what? Criticizing them for being different people is nonsensical, even if they're asking the world from NRS.
Yes, Reptile has "things". Personally, his buttons seem fine--not every character should have 6-7 frame jabs, and the range and frames are adequate. b2 is awesome. d4 is great. b34 is solid. But those aren't the moves Reptile players are critical of, and drawing their attention to the the tools that do work does nothing to mitigate the obvious issues with moves like db4, meterless db2, or forceballs. Regardless of people's opinions and regardless of who is or isn't also in need of improvement (like Kitana), Reptile has problems, and they ought to be looked at just like any other character's.
I really hope that confirmed damage buff is reconsidered; "damage" is not an adequate means of improving pointless moves.
