I've been trying to grind out the game, but I feel like I'm not doing so well. I heard PL is doing lessons, but really? $25 an hour? I don't think i could pay that, and I think it isn't worth. So, can someone mentor me? ( Someone with tournament experience, and knows what they are doing) Pretty frustrating.

Don't just play games man, I'm guessing that's what you're doing. Watch the matches you lost, what's the problem? Where did YOU go wrong?

Everything a mentor can teach you can be found for free here on TYM or other places on the net. But it's the same thing as you can get a college education for $20,000 (However much it costs, idk) or you can spend $20 on books and study the shit out of them yourself and know the same shit. Your call man, I wouldn't recommend the expensive option though, unless you plan on beating PL in a tourney and really want to study how he thinks to get the edge but it's a game so that's a tad far lol

To be honest, $25/hr is a pretty good rate for a decent teacher in anything. You'll be hard-pressed to find a teacher who's been at the top level of any field in life for that, unless it's a huge group lesson with 50 people instead of a 1v1.

http://www.sunsationalswimschool.com/prices.php <-- probably decent but def. not pro-level teachers
http://takelessons.com/blog/how-much-are-piano-lessons <-- these are average people, not professional-level players

Not saying that you should pay for lessons -- just putting things in perspective.
