On topic: great report like always @SneakyTortoise ! Keep it up man, always an entertaining read.

Off topic: is paulo the ONLY person at NRS in charge of the balance patches? Why is everyone only talking about/to him?

It was hands-down Sub-Zero. I don't think he needed to be nerfed, but the one he got wasn't that big. After messing around in practice and reading about things, the Grandmaster variation is still great. Anyone saying he was "nerfed to the ground" or anything like that is making an over exaggeration. Sub-Zero is still a great character, and he's still one of my favorites in the game. All I have to say to anyone who still believes he's been too nerfed, is chill...

He's not an idiot, personally I rate him as one of the most intelligent an informative players in our community.

He's just an emotional man is all.

Yes, very 'emotional'...
All I'm going to say about Brady is that he's a great player, is a loyal (like seriously loyal) Sub-Zero fan (which is pretty cool to me), but it also seems he can get really mad over stuff. Sometimes to the point where he is getting too mad. But no, he isn't an "idiot".

EDIT: Also, Brady, if you are reading this, I've got nothing against you.

The salt was relatively minor in comparison to the other two characters, but she still deserves a mention in this report due to the reaction caused by her f34 string, which, apparently, might as well not be in the game anymore.
Because we contained most of it in a PM

As the patch has shaken things up a bit, here’s a chance for you to predict who will earn a spot in the next report over the next seven days. Sneaky tip, bet on either of the two winners of patch day: Shinnok, as he dances his way up the tier list with his devious heel, giving a skeletal middle finger to Kenshi, Kitana and Takeda as he does so, or that yellow, venom spraying bitch D’Vorah.
I've been salty about Bug Bitch since week 1. I've improved drastically and I still can't fight her. I don't understand how to get in on her long reaching normals and I'm always put in 10 second blockstrings. It's bullshit, and I lost my only pressure tool to keep her annoying ass in the corner. Fuck DEvorah.

The hilarious thing about the sub zero nerf is that most of the complaints were things like being able to force a block after a clone setup by just jip over the clone while SZ is recovering... and that "Certain characters" could do it.

So, I play on Xbone... which means I don't have the patch yet.. I went into the lab and guess what. These same "certain characters" could always do that anyway even before the patch. The difference is that before the patch they would walk through a clone with no active hitbox. Now, the clone is gone because it's supposed to be gone.

There were characters that could only jump kick over the clones, and a block would get them frozen pre patch where now it doesn't (which is dumb), but the claims that SZ can't recover in time to backdash and force someone to land on it is just flat out wrong. Yes he can.

So yeah... all the sub zero complainers need to realize something when a character jumps over your clone setup with a JIP. THEY COULD DO THAT BEFORE ANYWAY.

We are returned! Death to the False Emperor!
Having just checked the Kung Jin forums, fucking wow. The overreaction is ludicrous. Apparently Kung Jin isn't top 10 anymore guys. Nope, Liu Kang is better than him. This will be huge fucking news to all Liu Kang mains as he's lost the majority of his pressure game in surreptitious nerfs since release, where he might have been top 10. Now he's comfortably mid tier, a fair character in a game full of filthy, dirty characters. And apparently, Kung losing some pressure of his 11 means Kung is now totally like mid-tier guys.

Jesus fucking wept.

haha yeah.. The only Kung Jin nerf is the change to the plus frames on cartwheel slam. I suppose you could whine about the damage nerf, but I'm not sure anyone is doing that anyway, since he lost like what... 3% from his BnB? Raiden says Hi. Other than that, not being able to press a jumping attack on the first frame of a jump - universal change.. Not even targetted at KJ, seems to impact EB players alot. Corrections to a bug that over wrote intended and programmed frame data - universal correction.. not even aimed at KJ.. so his overhead was one of these moves. Big deal. That's not a nerf. It's the result of a bug fix. It has nothing to do with complaining about KJ's safety or NRS litening to "crying." He wasn't supposed to be able to do that.
