190 minutes (THREE HOURS) worth of intros in this game.
Proof:

25 (jason not included) characters ^ 2 * 3 intros each(?) = 1875 intros.

I still can't believe how this idea went through. I mean, its pretty fricken awesome and unique but even for non-lazy people like me, I can't see how anyone thinks this is worth it. Sure a lot of the interactions would be really fun to write
but some characters have little to no connection to each other and thus might prove to be really tedious to write. I doubt it's cheap either, you have to pay for writers (god forbid the one guy if there was only 1 writer) and the voice actors. Then you have audio mixers and programmers to insert them into the game.

Saint Op Omen

Savagely beating his super-ego with his id...
I feel like everything was worth it for Ferra... Intros literally are what made that character stand out...

But besides that I think casuals only cared about 3 things on the streams... Design, intros and fatalities...

F/T's character would be non-existent if it wasn't for these intros, haha. There are a decent amount of them where the two characters are both just serious fighters and have nothing interesting to say to each other, but they did a really good job of giving like 80% of the cast fun personalities. Even if the story mode could have been more fleshed out without all these intros... I'd still be glad nrs made the decision to do them.

I actually love this. I think it was a great addition to the game.

The intros/character interaction in this game is incredible. After watching just a couple you fall in love with characters like Ferra and D'Vorah. Just amazing. The personality they're able to convey in just a few seconds is more than some games can manage throughout entire games or series of games. NRS does a lot of things better than other developers, and this is definitely one of them.

Yeah those two really stand out. I love them.

This is another of my favorites:

Johnny Cage: "How ya doing, butterface?"
Mileena: "That had better be a compliment!"
Johnny Cage: "Best I can do."

Your mind tricks won't harm me!!!
always one of my favorites to hear
Erron Black vs. Jacqui Briggs -

Erron: I have a problem...
Jacqui: 'Your pee pee hurts?'
Erron: Now you have a problem...

and
Takeda vs. Jacqui Briggs
Takeda: Let's not do this.
Jacqui Briggs: Don't wanna wrestle me to the ground?
Takeda: Okay! Let's do this!

Also, don't forget that it's not limited to intros... The characters sometimes fling little personal quips at each other during a match!

Haha wow, I've never heard that one. There are literally hundreds I've never heard, considering I only play a small handful of the characters.
