I play against a high level Noob pretty often so I am very aware of how he can be played. Morty's Noob > Hito's noob any day of the week. He's a little better up close than the Noob community wants to give him credit for.

Edit: I'd love to give you a Sektor mirror Tom Hanks, probably wont happen until Evo because I doubt you will be at Devastation. Hopefully Evo selects MK9 again over Skull Girls, Naruto Ultimate Ninja storm, SC5 or TTT2!

If Cage gets in, Noob is absolutely fucked.

Sub Zero is hard for Cage because he can keep him out so easily, but he can also get himself out of trouble if Cage gets his offense going. Once Cage gets on Noob, Noob has no answer. Wakeup upshadow can be baited and punished.

Noob has d3's and up clones, Noob isn't as helpless as you would imagine. Up clones can be covered with more up clones, Cages only option to open him up realistically is d3 which isn't very awesome.

I personally think that the VSM team vs the top players in Arizona would be the most entertaining thing to happen in MK9 and im curious if this could happen soon. (maybe Dev?)

Well naturally Riu48 is a better player than I am so he has the advantage but tbh its not tht stacked. At most id say is a 6-4 in noobs favor. Its doable. sure noob can keep him out all day with clones but for the cage player to get in he has to play smart and try to evade my projectiles. If he does predict the throwing of once he gets a good opportunity to get in closer seeing how noobs recovery with shadows can be ass, with the exception of upknee.

Once cage is in its all about noob trying to get cage off of him. You can out poke him except with d3 and Riu got some rlly rlly rlly good mixup with cage ud be surprised.

why the best against the best well like i said it is easy to shine against people who do not know the game as well as you do.

mid level player vs low level player = mid level player shine like a high level player


mid level player vs mid level player = both look good but they do not shine

high level player vs high level player = high level play

I believe the AZ tournament videos are being kept private until after Devastation. That's what I heard, anyway.

Also NEC is the best tournament at supporting the entire community - MK was always there even in the dark days, DOA is a fixture there, every random SNK/anime game you can think of gets played, etc. And Big E is the fucking man. When people ask me what the best non-Evo tournaments are, I always say NEC + Season's Beatings + Final Round (can't vouch for CEO tho I hear great things!). So basically you guys out west should to travel to NEC or at least one of these at any rate...MK really needs strong representation (I'm talking 100+ people and entertaining top 8's) at these majors to have a chance with Evo next year.

Reminder: the #capcom hivemind still thinks this game is dying, and that tends to be a major source of info for Evo staff.
