Dealing with Cross-Ups

I'm not having much success with anti-crossovers in this game. I've been trying to use d1 and d2 but they both get stuffed so people just continuously jump like crazy. I mean I know you can just dash out of the situation or just block but those aren't really punishes. D1 & D2 just don't seem as much of a reliable option like they were in MK9 but it could just be an online thing. What have you guys been using as anti-crossovers?

What character are you using? Most characters can armor punish crossups.

Every jumping normal is different. For example Kung Jin can d1 a majority of the cast consistently but against sub zero you just have to hold that and get jumped over. On a read you can always njp and a lot of characters can reverse input armor moves (Raiden EX shocker for example).

Yah it's online bro, when it's bad you won't even be able to njp them, I guess if you got a good uppercut that could work but for the most part you'll have to run and try to whiff punish, it's really annoying and if someone is constantly crossing over I'll make a note to destroy them and start tea bagging and jumping over them when finishing him pops up. hah

Sub-Zero's EX Ice Burst is the only other move besides a d1 or d2 that I've found to be used as an anti-crossover. The only problem is that the move is variation specific & I'd like to have an option that doesn't require meter

i'm having trouble with cross ups too, seems like the only thing to do against them is run under them or backdash

On an oppenent that constently crosses you up with jump ins you can use an upward neutral jump kick. Seems more reliable to me than NJP. Not as much of a punish but this will grant you a hkd to start your own pressure...
