Does Injustice HAVE to die?

Yeah I miss Injustice, I'm going to start playing again. MKX is fun, but it just doesn't fill the void of Injustice. I think the Mortal Kombat characters are all uninteresting, which I think is ultimately why I prefer Injustice (other than hating the block button) If anyone wants to play IGAU on 360 hmu: OG Mannimal

Imo the injustice community should have been its own community from the start. People who didn't really want to play injustice just played it until the next mk game. Many of them didn't have a good influence on injustice and just trashed it while playing(not all of them ofc). But the thing is many people are more mk players before they are nrs players and I predict next time these mk players will keep playing Mkx even when injustice 2 comes out because they have kind of learned their lesson.

I always felt the problem this game encountered was creating a large enough competitive fanbase. It accomplished attracting a number of the MK peeps to play the game through a variety of reasons but it ultimately didn't make them dedicated fans of it. Thus, when MKX approached, you had a large number of Injustice players stop playing.

Feel free to call bullshit on this. That's just what I saw out of it.

Unfortunately, I'll always remember it as the game that allowed the community to rob me of 5 dollars (Scorpion).

I've always been a proponent of letting games go their natural way. If people love them, they'll keep playing them somewhere. And if not, you can't force people to play them. The thing I find interesting is that all the "let's play two games" people are dead silent now. Malik, Claude, and all those guys who were preaching that we should absolutely play two games, are nowhere to be found right now on that issue :)

Should Injustice 2 be the next game, however, I guarantee those people will be right back at it and extremely vocal about playing two games.

Now, that's a bit of a friendly blow-up (still love you Malik), but I think it's best that games run their natural course. Just like MK, when Injustice gets a sequel down the road it'll be back in force, on next generation systems, and I'm sure the excitement will be back all over again.

Wow I just visited and it directs you to TYM. I'm actually sad about that.
I made that website. People boycotted it, I got DDOS attacks and dead threats on my personal email saying I was killing the community, so I just let it die.

Troy entered to every single Injustice tournament in the East Coast and supported the offline scene more than a lot of the online "hardcore" fans of MK9 and Injustice. I've never met you offline even though you live in NJ. Please don't throw names around.

I can respect that you're defending you're friend, and what you said is true, but I think you can agree that that wasn't the point of what Crimson said.

You think you bad? You aint bad.
After playing MK9 and IGAU I've come to realize its not that I can't play 2 fighting games at once, its just that after playing the game for 2 years it eventually gets boring to the point where I have no intention of playing. The same will probably happen with MKX.
I take it you dont play streetfighter. That game is well aged and alive. Sure theres different segments. But all around the same character and moveset. Just different frames.

Sucks that you had to go through that. The Internet sucks lol

I see people spamming projectiles in MK9/MKX and I'm like " Ha! I'm gonna show you how easily I can get around that"
I saw people spamming projectiles in IJ and I was like "Ugh, there's no way I can get around that"

How's that for terrible, self-defeating hypocrisy? at least I'm admitting to it :/

(Also, No Huntress)
No dash canceling/run mechanic in Inj brah

From what I've seen it was mostly about zoning, jumping around and the same brokenness as we're seeing in mkx today. If Raven wasn't bad I'd have even picked up the game.
