Changed everything in the ini, still no dice. All gpu settings down, lowered resolution, 30 no matter what I do.

I don't know, I just installed the game today. My specs say I should have been able to run it at 60, but I honestly don't know ll

Dam that sucks man, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in and help you out. What GPU do you have?

Do you by chance have v-sync on in your gpu settings?


Are you by chance using nvidia driver 350.12? this one caused my game to run like crap after one of the patches they did. I went back to 347.88 and it fixed it. Its may have the same affect on amd drives as well. You could try using on older driver from amd.

Game should've died while it was still broken, nothing but constant ragequitters and people stalling the connection when they're about to lose, causing me to have to restart because the game hangs on the fatality screek infinitely.

Such cancer should not exist.

Hundreds of matches and I've yet to see my first Quitality. I think 1 person once quit on me during the FINISH HIM/FATALITY moment but that was about it.

hmm well after redownloading the game everything is running perfect, I've yet to have a crash and all the issues I got after the latest patch are gone
The levers in the krypt magically worked now too so I got all the brutalities and costumes I wanted. About damn time..

Also the netcode is running way better for me, I actually hit my Jacqui b33 bf2 4 bf2 4 db2 12 bf4 combo, ONLINE! And all 4 times I've hit it I got a quitality after which just made it that much better lol.

It seems the game is basically locked at 30 FPS in menus, the Krypt, and when performing Fatalities and X-Rays. Actual matches, at least offline, should be 60 FPS.

It's becoming funnier and funnier.

I manage to have stable 60fps on some stage and below 10 on other.

Back to dota untill I upgrade to a newer laptop I guess.

Sounds like frame smoothing being enabled. It locks the game at 30 FPS.

Yeah, two things I can think of is @Barrogh is correct and Frame Smoothing is on, or your Vsync might still be on in the game's PC Video section of Options.

Check there for both options.

What's your overall system specs, by the way? For example, I have:

- Intel Core i5 4440 3.1 Ghz
- 8 GB Ram
- nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti with the 350.12 drivers
- Windows 8.1 64-bit
- Direct X 11.2

thats online frame smoothing, which incidentally should be set to true. you want to go to IN GAME pc video settings

set frame smoothing to off
and then just try out the different vsync options the in game offers.
im on gtx 970 and i think mines set to either adaptive or nvidia adaptive

From there just select what you have in your pc. It should come in a list for what you have.

dont dial back your driver until you have written off the other possibilities. i really think your game has frame smoothing set on in the IN GAME pc video settings, that or you have nvidia vsync HALF refresh rate set in game. trust me

I'll try those, but I set the in game frame smoothing to off. I'll go through each of the vsync options and let you guys know.

Ran through everything in the v-sync, still no luck. Frame smoothing is set to off in the in game settings. Going to try using the previous driver now.

The last thing I can suggest is to use GeForce Experience and make sure to Optimize your settings for the game. You might need to go back to the lastest drivers though.

This is what really helped me. My monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080, but GeForce Experience recommended 1600x900. For whatever reason, GeForce Experience can _not_ force that change, you need to do it from PC Video in game. It's helped my frame rate substantially.
