Here. But I somehow manage to fix it by clicking pause, then going to move lists or controls then going back to the game, but it doesn't work everytime sadly.

It looks like the frame rate drops I was getting were caused by having the CapFPS option in options.ini set to False. I set it back to true and it's much better now.

The file is in:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\MK10

Well I found the issue, highlighting Raiden immediately crashes my game.. wtf ~__~;

Is anyone else having this issue? like I can't even pass over his character icon as soon as his model shows on screen the whole thing freezes :/

I'm backing up my files and I'll try redownloading the game.. fuck man i really want this to work..

I'm sorry you guys are having a terrible time with the PC version :( That was what I was going to get originally, but AAA games always have trouble on PC at first.

game runs a lot better on pc since the latest patch
eventhough, i've been getting fps drop at the start of some matches, which is weird..

just played a ranked game against someone and litteraly before the last hit, the game crashed and i had to restart my pc
52-0 still there though, so i guess that didn't count as a loss :DOGE

Its really feel like there is a lot of people that need help with this stuff. A huge number of problems for pc gaming is user error. So I'm going to try and post all the helpful information the try and keep it organized for people. This will be a community effort and to give a quick find for problems in one place. So any one with help full information or in need of help feel free to post and I will try to keep the original post up dated with new finding.

No flaming in this post. This is meant to help people play the game not help your ego. You will be reported.

First thing is setting up your router properly.

Required Ports for Steam
Your network must be configured to allow Steam access to the following ports (in order from highest to lowest priority for QoS users):

Steam Client
UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive (Game client traffic)
UDP 27015 to 27030 inclusive (Typically Matchmaking and HLTV)
TCP 27014 to 27050 inclusive (Steam downloads)
UDP 27031 and 27036 (incoming, for In-Home Streaming)
TCP 27036 and 27037 (incoming, for In-Home Streaming)
UDP 4380
Dedicated or Listen Servers
TCP 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)
Steamworks P2P Networking and Steam Voice Chat
UDP 3478 (Outbound)
UDP 4379 (Outbound)
UDP 4380 (Outbound)

For those that don't know what they are doing this site give you step by step on how to set up your ports. http://portforward.com/help/mortal-kombat-x/ Thank you Monox1de for posting this web site.

Benchmark you game to make sure it is running at 60 FPS.

There are many third party programs to do this. Fortunately Steam has the option built in to do it as well. When you are doing this you want to do it on a few different stages and with character that have a lot of effects happening in their game play.

To have Steam display fps
In the top left hand corner click Steam and open settings. Then in the window click In-Game. Then under In-Game FPS Counter chose where you want the fps to display.

If your game is dropping fps you will need to adjust your graphic setting. When changing video settings you should always restart the game to make sure the new setting are being applied.

Recommended system requirements does NOT mean max setting. Setting your graphics setting to low may make the game use your cpu integrated graphics instead of your dedicate card. When you click play MKX in steam there is an option to configure the game. Make sure the right gpu is selected in the settings. This hopefully will fix that problem.

Verify game cache
Over time PC's tend to occasionally corrupted files or lose them. So if your game is not opening or just not running as it should always verify integrity of the games cache before trying to change thing on the pc.

To verify game cache
Right click on Mortal Kombat X in your steam library. Then click on properties. In the window click on the Local Files tab. Then click on verify integrity of game cache.

This will take a good amount of time as it will re download missing or change filled. Deleting the game and reinstalling it can also fix the game if verifying the cache does not work.

Another thing is to make sure you graphics cards are up to date. This is very important thing to do.

For Nvidia cards http://www.geforce.com/drivers
For AMD cards http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

On occasion a driver update will cause worse performance for a select game. When this happen just download that last driver that ran stable from the card makers web site.

Make sure you have the proper version of direct x installed

I have read that the game does not update direct x when it installs. So you may have to do this manually if you have not played a new game in a while.

Right click MKX in the steam library and click properties. In the tab click local game files and open browse local game files.
Open _CommonRedist>directX>>Jun2010 and run the DXSETUP application as administrator.
Then go back to the _CommonRedist file and open vcredist>2012 and run both applications as administrator.

Check your option file located in C:>users>what ever username is>appdata>Roaming>mk10

It seams as though the game does not update this file as it patches it. And just uninstalling the game
or verifying cache will leave the file. You must delete it manually and run the game from the configure launcher.

You must have show hidden files turned on so see the file.
On windows 8 go to C:>users>what ever username is, and click click view. In the middle there should be the option and check it.

This is what my file looks like.. You could try and just delete your and copy mine just make sure you set the resolution and refresh rate to what your monitor is.

If your game keeps reverting to default setting after changing them set it to read only.
Right click on the file and open properties. Should be on option to set read only. This will stop the game from resetting them. Only thing is I don't know if it will let your change the setting in game then.

Did all this, but still have 12 fps in snow and rain stages.

And my rig is not that bad, I have a GTX 760 2gb, with 32 gb ram and an I7 octogonapus core and still it runs like shit.

I ran out of ideas what to do.

Play on PC they said, it is gonna be fun they said.

The problem is, is that they updated the nonexistent bars to all red bars. Even if the connection is great it's still red. So there's no way to know beforehand if it's going to be a good connection or not.

If you're on steam, right-click on MKX in your library -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game cache. Might save you some time instead of downloading it all again

Wow you get a 1 bar connection with that many players? That is way better than what I am getting. I get 0 bars for 90%, and the remaining 10% have 1 bar connection.
I had gray ( or you can call them no bars) for every player, but it starts updating so slowly, like 20 seconds for each player. So, to decide with who to play, first I need to wait like 5 minutes to check who has better connection, but it's worthless because all of them have red connections anyway.

Currently the nvidia 350.12 (GTA 5) drivers do not work well with mkx. So use 347.88 instead.

Also if you got to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\MK10

And open up options.ini

Is CapFPS set to true? That was my issue with slowdown

You can also add in mention for nVidia users about GeForce Experience, and using it to try and optimize game settings. This helped me a lot.

Note, I believe this will only work with the 350.12 (GTAV) drivers though, as that was when nVidia added a Mortal Kombat X profile to GeForce Experience.

Also not that, at least for me, optimizing settings would _not_ change the game's resolution to it's recommended; I had to do this manually from in-game.

The struggle is real
Anybody else having the problem where the game stays capped at 30fps? I've tried everything and it will only stay at 30
