Okay you're not wrong, but nobody is belittling or discrediting PL's achievements? For him to essentially try something new (i.e. streaming), fail at it for various reasons, and then basically insult or undermine people who have put in just as much if not more effort than him is totally ridiculous, and only makes him look like a complete prick. Who the hell is he to criticize other streamers just because he isn't doing as well as they are?MKX isn't about his good you are, it's about how many views and followers you can get.
I know that when I'm older & if I ever stop competing, I'd be much happier with my tournament record than somethin like 'number of likes' which is a very fake sort of measurement.
But that's just me, I'm not engulfed by this new age social media bullshit and still recognise things that actually deserve credit.
People will always remember PLs back to back evo wins, even though he dropped off and hasn't won or placed as frequently in cutthroat competitiob since 2012.
But who will remember true talent, and if they do, for what reason?
All of what you mentioned is nothing new in regards to PL's behavior.Okay, but nobody is belittling or discrediting PL's achievements? For him to essentially try something new (i.e. streaming), fail at it for various reasons, and then basically insult or undermine people who have put in just as much if not more effort than him is totally ridiculous and only makes him look like a complete prick.
The thing is it's not about the likes or follows, it's about the money. Those guys who "pander" to their stream viewers make hundreds of dollars an hour just to play online and be goofy. I can't knock their hustle.MKX isn't about his good you are, it's about how many views and followers you can get.

Yeah but Carl isnt an internet personality, he's a competitor. The thing is it's not about the likes or follows, it's about the money. Those guys who "pander" to their stream viewers make hundreds of dollars an hour just to play online and be goofy. I can't knock their hustle.
This doesn't bother me. Once you use it, everyone sees it and the tech will come out naturally. But until then, I don't hate on anyone who wants to play things close to the vest. STSFN!Last I get so sick of tech hoarding for fear someone won't have that broken edge. Way to help the game, level up, and promote the community.
Viewers who actually want to be challenged...good luck finding this in today's world lolTo be completely honest all of this stuff is retarted...yea I can see his frustration about truetalent and Max not puttin in the work like be did...but let's be all honest here..if truetalent and PL played a ft10 who would win..same wit max and that's what matter to me...but yea he did go a little overboard but those guys are popular because they entertain..I watch PL stream cuz I wanna learn...people watch them for entertainment...I don't agree wit his rant...everybody personality is different...now if max and truetalent opened everybody who watch their streams to the fgc and actually challenged their viewers to learn the game..visit tym and learn about fighting games..they be the real mvp!!!
Yea I know right...there are some out there tho and I'm pretty sure a lot of "casuals" who just wanna do fatalitys every match will eventually wanna learn how to play the game seriously...all it takes is for people to put to put it out there..hence where truetalent and Max come in lolViewers who actually want to be challenged...good luck finding this in today's world lol
i really don't like streamers that have viewers and followers that make money off of streaming and the such complain about getting the same questions over and over again. i used to work for unitedhealthcare doing claims and sales of medicare for old people. have you ever had an Indian (from india, sorry not trying to be racist) try to communicate intricate claim details to you over the phone in a loud call center 8 hours a day? PLUS having to repeat yourself to old people trying to do an online application over the phone and their hearing aid fucks up?? i ultimately resigned to focus on school this semester but lbsh i lost my mind working there i have no sympathy for streamers who get to play video games and make money either by subs, donations or ad views.PL's stream viewers give me a headache and I'm not even him. I don't even go to his stream that much anymore and I mod it.
He gets the SAME questions asked HUNDREDS of times a day. "What stick do you use", "Show us Kung Lao", "Are you winning EVO again?" And even worse, many people just talk about SonicFox and his stream. I'd go crazy too.
He was out of line saying anything about anyone. Do you know how much Max puts into his stream & the same with Tru3? They put a ton of time & effort into their streams from the technical & entertainment sides of it, more work than I've seen from PL at all. Hell take a look at CDJR, he's been working hard on repping his brand & his stream is starting to pay off for it, he's getting more & more viewers each stream. He was out of line for putting Justin in the same sentence with Max and whoever that Tru3 guy is, but other then that specific point he made about them I don't see anything he said. Hell, some of you would still be blowing him up even if he hadn't mentioned those guys at all. I don't understand how you can just hate on another person that you've never met personally. Yeah PL does stupid shit, but you're negative feelings toward him only adds more fuel to the fire.
Probably a lot more than I ever would, but that wasn't my point. He was out of line saying anything about anyone. Do you know how much Max puts into his stream & the same with Tru3?
Yeah. If you build it, they will come.Yea I know right...there are some out there tho and I'm pretty sure a lot of "casuals" who just wanna do fatalitys every match will eventually wanna learn how to play the game seriously...all it takes is for people to put to put it out there..hence where truetalent and Max come in lol
Or, you know, he enjoys lots of different fighting games.P.S.
He isn't the only one that thinks that of Max's streams and I feel like Max is becoming the bandwagon fan of any hot fighter similar to how sports fan are when a current team is hot right now. Max is like your typical bandwagon Cavs fan if you ask me.
One of the dumbest analogies I've ever heard. Are we all bandwagon because we dropped MK9 and Injustice for MKX because it's the hot new game? No. It's the fucking hot new game....so everyone is playing it. Max has hundreds of thousands of followers. Why would we NOT want to expose them to our game?He isn't the only one that thinks that of Max's streams and I feel like Max is becoming the bandwagon fan of any hot fighter similar to how sports fan are when a current team is hot right now. Max is like your typical bandwagon Cavs fan if you ask me.
