story expansion?

Tbh I wasn't satisfied with the story mode. It felt very rushed and compact. Cinematics were incredible but... That's it. We need a free expansion to the story! Erron black was supposed to be the ultimate dude but he was like "oh blub blub blub I could buy that medallion over deep blub" then he gets whooped. What the eff. Then my man kano... Been grinding since MK1! He got beat by every character! He even got choked out by a 50 something year old woman! Granted she's a total badass and everything but that's besides the point. We need a story expansion, (free of course), that includes more scorp vs sub, goro, Erron black, kano, and my other homie jax. We didn't even see his return to sf. Story dlc... It's needed!

I do not know why people keep complaining about story mode. It went for over 2hrs .. that is long (even longer than a movie). You do not even get a story mode in fighters like SF etc... just be thankful that you got one. It was well done, incredibly beautiful, had a decent story. I have to give my thanks to NRS for caring so much for their fans and the backstory that they even include this mode in MK games. Seriously, by the amount people whine, they should save themselves the trouble and just not include a story mode in the future.

yeah ... while playing story mode first time , the same seems lackluster .... however, playing it for the second time and paying attention, it's cool indeed .... story mode gets better once you start to pay more attention in the details you missed playing for the very first time .....

Given, the ball was dropped compared to the story telling of MK9 and Injustice (though it also suffered the same problem where certain characters were only present to get their faces smashed every time they picked a fight) but it is still the third best fighting game story line thus far.

I have to admit though, I really hated how it kept jumping back to the past...it really took the away from the feeling of a looming threat (which was non-existent until the last 2 chapters).

I want a story expansion that brings in Cyrax and also makes Rain, Sareena, Li Mei, Smoke, and Fujin playable. Is that too much to ask???

Yeah, all the heels in the story were jobbers. I mean you beat Shinnok in the beginning and that kinda takes away his mystical aura. At least Liu Kang vs. Shao Kahn in MK 9 felt ridiculously hard until you realized it was futile to rush him and you could just spam fireballs, but I digress. I'd like to see how Dark Raiden protects Earthrealm. That was an interesting plot twist and completely justified in my opinion.

Bro... They made a comic book just for the story of mkx! Surely they could've made the actual game's story just a little more in depth. I'm not saying it's bad. It's just lacking a little bit.

I think the Mk9 and this story were done excellently personally, compare that to something like Soul Caliber where the story revolves around everyone wanting to get a heavy, overly ornamented sword and has been the same story for years now.

Besides that, I'm pretty happy they kind of made it go to a new generation spawned from the old one, not just adding numerous new characters that had no real backstory or point to being there.

I kind of wish to get story expansion pack with Sub fighting against cyborg ninjas in his road becoming a grandmaster, or the continuation of Kotal Kahn army against the lin kuei, or the Kamidogu saga from comics, so many potential here.
