Problem with character hitboxes

subzero is unable to connect B+3,3 into iceball vs male characters

however he is able to do this vs female characters

sub zero is a woman beater!

but seriously does anyone have a problem with this? it makes no sense to me. i hear some games have this feature where some combos dont connect on certain characters. but i feel like this is just unbalanced.

basically my sub gets a leg up (hur hur) against female characters midscreen...weird.

From what I've noticed, if you're not right next to them or use a JIP that the b33 won't connect on most characters, but it does work on females. I've used the b33 ice ball after a run up on Mileena and it works fine.

i feel like you maybe didnt understand what i was trying to bring up here....

do people really think its good for the game to have this sort of variation, subzero isnt the only one that has this weird issue. just because other games have done it, does that mean this game should too?

Its always been like this, just not as obvious.
Usually big bodies are the easy juggles, but this time its the light hitboxes. Just happens that the female characters all are lights.

Wake-Up Rolls, bitch.
Takeda against Ferra//Torr makes me wanna rip my dick off!

He can EN BF1, B21 xxTele against every other member of the cast, but for whatever reason, it whiffs against F/T. -_-

does it really give anything good to the game tho?
Yes, it creates MU diversity and rewards people exploring every aspect of their character.
If everyone got juggled the same, some characters would lose out on tools. Not everyone is, and so they don't.

they lose out on tools by having things not work on both sexes

Jacqui has a similar issue where Full Auto low rocket in the corner won't connect on females but it does on male characters. It' be nice if they fixed these but I doubt that they'll be looked at considering all the other crazy shit they'll probably patch instead -____-

its not diversity, its limitation.
I'll be devil's advocate here and say that it's as much of a limitation as not being able to run up close to Grandmaster at any time is, for example.

On the other hand, I'd bet NRS didn't see it coming and didn't balance the game around things like this one.

Plus on block.
This isn't new and it isn't unique to MK.

In game where the cast have varying sizes, some hitboxes lead to certain opportunities or limitations.

It's just another part of knowing the match-up.

If you can learn that a character your using doesn't have many options against another character's zoning, you can learn that a character you're using can't use certain combos against another character's hitbox.

It is weird because you would think logically that it would work on the bigger hitbox characters (males), but it works on the smaller ones. Kind of strange.
