I need help with Air to Airs

In every single fighting game I've invested time in (Mk9, Injustice, and MKX) my biggest flaw has always been winning the air to airs. For some damn reason players who jump excessively really hurt my game play, and I have been trying to work on air to airs but I really have not been getting the hang of it lately.

Does anyone have any useful suggestions as to win more air to airs? I'm fine with converting after.

If you think they are going to jump don't jump unless your super preemptive with your air to airs. Find more reliable ways like using spacing for trip guards and aa normals.. Unfortunately nrs trolled us and gave jump kicks op priority and made crossovers Garbo.

If an air to air is occurring you might be thinking to far ahead rather than on your heels reacting, I have the same issue.

I feel yeah. I have a much more grounded playstyle, I can sit and use uppercuts to scout out jump ins, but if I'm jumping over a projectile or jumping in on an opponent, that is when they often nail me. Tis frustrating.

I was amazingly consistent at D1 into full combo's in MK9 when someone dared to jump at me......but this game? I can't hit someone jumping toward me if my life (or virtual life) depended on it. Any advice? (I main A-list Cage FYI)
