Users reviews on Metacritic are some of the worst reviews I have ever read. It doesn't matter which game it is, most of the reviews on there is rushed and are not fair. People always make fun of these reviews, and say you should avoid them. I agree with that, but in this thread, we are going to ignore that and read through Metacritic user reviews! Just for fun, of course.
What review scores mean:
10 = Masterpiece
9 = Amazing
8 = Great
7 = Good
6 = Okay
5 = Mediocre
4 = Bad
3 = Terrible
2 = Insanely Terrible
1 = Avoid this at all costs!
0 = Help me.

Let's start with the positive ones!
"I didn't intend to write a review, but then I read some really stupid s... A dude was like "Liu Kang is not playable - 1/10." Let me start out by saiying that Liu Kang is indeed playable, so do your research next time, please. Now for the review. Mortal kombat is awesome in every way. There is so much content i this game. I am new to the whole Mortal kombat stuff, but I have totally fallen in love with this franchise. The characters are unique and exciting, the story mode challenges modern Hollywood movies and the x-rays and fatalities are so disturbing and fun to watch. This is one of my favorite Fighters of all time. I can only recommend it to everybody!" - 10/10
"almost perfect if not for a few balancing issues when going against the games AI, also, some of the boss battles like shinnok, can sometimes be a little cheap, especially with the fight with him in his corrupted form.
other than that though, this is worth every penny, go out and buy please." - 9/10
"Great game, plenty of characters to choose from, and the b variations gives a lot of diferent ways to fight. The story mode is awesome, and the new fighters are really nice. The injustice feel is a good thing and the level interations are good oportunity to finish of combos and such. Great game." - 10/10
"don't listen to weird people or read their weird review who gave this game very low score.. this game is amazing, amazing graphic, great gameplay, very good story mode, living tower is fun to play. i recommend this game for MK fans to buy" - 10/10

I would rate a 0, but a 1 usually hurts ratings worse.
When will these shady USA game companies realize how tired people are getting of paying $60 to receive only half of a game? They make the entire game, then decide what parts to cut out and sell separately. The whole point of DLC is to ADD to games, not to sell the other already-completed half of the game.
We can only hope this strategy continues to receive overwhelming negative blow-back from consumers, and is eventually discontinued." - 1/10
"Decent game ruined by having to play a crappy phone game to unlock stuff ON THE DISC. This isnt paid for dlc btw this is costumes, moves , etc , etc on the disc that you paid $60 dollars for that can only be used if you play a garbage game on the iphone and link both games to WBPLAY.
100% BS avoid." - 2/10
"Huge disappointment. What's the most important part about any game ? Being able to play it. Unfortunately, this game is unplayable online. Takes 5-10 min to find an opponent, 80 % of games either have delay imput or are so laggy it's unplayable. Also, some characters are broken (like Raiden who can easily pull a 54 % on corner nice). Furthermore, more **** 1st Day DLC (easy fatality, skip fight coin, 29 $ for 4 more characters, 20 % to unlock all the Krypt content. I regret buying this game and I've returned it to the store." - 0/10
"Looks terrific and I like the variety of things they have added. Everything from new fighters, brutalities, krypt, etc. However I am giving it a low score due to the fact it has been delayed for old gen console players. Why? Not paying for an overpriced piece of hardware AND on top of that online service. Not to mention the menu has the MK STORE right at the top. Keep art intact without having to shove right in your face the word STORE. " - 3/10
