Also if they're trying to jump over its like the only use for regular vicinity blast. That and goro can't stomp raiden at all. On another note I'm getting blown up by people just laying on the ground for like the full time after I knock them down. They just punish me after I whiff my attack. Any advice?Rising Thunder is as simple as it gets
I was actually pretty curious about this as well but I forgot to test it out earlier so I'm glad you reminded me. Just did though and f1 seems really good. Its so fast and hits them even if they're directly over you. Also if you're in TG you can just continue the f1,2,b2 string after you hit them. Overall I feel like f1 is one of the best pokes in the game. 5 frames, hits mid, and antiairs. So what are our best anti-air attacks?
If they are staying down and not wake-up attacking, I find the best option is 3,4. His neutral front kick will whiff giving them the thought they could get up safely but the follow up is an overhead kick that'll launch for combo. I've had moderate success with that as my delay-up counter attack. You can start mixing it up by doing the neutral 3 and then blocking because they'll start doing wake up attacks. Also if they're trying to jump over its like the only use for regular vicinity blast. Yeah, in your face pressure characters can be real tough especially when they have real quick normals. It's like you have to press your fastest button way ahead of them or their button wins. I still can't figure out how to deal with good Jax players, once he gets in it's so hard to escape and if he gets you in the corner you're finished.I'd like to see that too...I don't know every character but from my own experiences, I'd say he's strong against fellow midrange fighters that rely on mid-game for combos due to slow startups. IMO depending on variations; subzero, takeda, cages, all give a fair fight.
He's very weak against in your face pressure characters or very quick zoners like Kung Jin arrows / disc. Liu Kang / Mileena / Even Kotal Kahn's f2,d3 is painstaking for him. This coming from a displacer raiden. I'm sure thundergod raidens have a different estimation by using firework pushes in combo strings.
His wakeups aren't very safe to escape pressure and his poke game is slower than most. Making matters worse, his uppercut is a hair slower too and one of his quicker moves is a high so it'll whiff the turtle community.
Huh?When nrs included the ex fireball to stop midscreen?
You can do another db1 motion right after the ex fireball which will stop the fireball on the screen like a trap.Huh?
Haha nice. I didn't even know that. You can do another db1 motion right after the ex fireball which will stop the fireball on the screen like a trap.
The case is that want even exist...when they added this??Haha nice. I didn't even know that.
It's always been there, I posted some videos of a weird trick allowing it to hit for 17%. It normally hits for 14% if you stop it right on the opponent and 12% otherwise. It's good because the normal ex only hits for like 7%.The case is that want even exist...when they added this??
Always? http://testyourmight.com/threads/two-fly-moves.49285/ and there are videos with command from day one not with it...It's always been there, I posted some videos of a weird trick allowing it to hit for 17%. If you're using Thunder God variation, you may want to consider some of the lightning strings (1,1,2(hold),2(hold)). I would have to test it, but I'm guessing you can time it so that it covers both regular and delayed wakeup, and it has armor-breaking properties. Note that they could time their wakeup attack to hit you in between the last 2 hits, after raiden teleports. Again, would have to thoroughly test it.On another note I'm getting blown up by people just laying on the ground for like the full time after I knock them down. but what's raidens weakness?
He can have trouble with strong zoning characters. In your face rush down vortex characters can be pretty tough as well. He can cranky certainly hold his own in these matchups but it usually requires meter.I'm a king jin main, looking at picking up an alt. I'm reading all of the threads, but what's raidens weakness? Is he really solid or what? I love my jin.
I haven't played any good raidens, but how does he hold up against strong pressure Jin?He can have trouble with strong zoning characters. In your face rush down vortex characters can be pretty tough as well. He can cranky certainly hold his own in these matchups but it usually requires meter.
