How Important are 50/50s and Mix-Ups?

So the meta seems to pretty much be knocking your opponent down and then do a 50/50 on them. Also, mix-ups are generally very effective. How viable are characters that struggle with these things like Mileena? I'd really like to main her like I did in MK9, but I don't want to spend so much time on a character that in the end becomes unviable.

I tried that... I don't know what to search to get exactly what I wanted. I'm usually a lurker and don't post unless I personally can't find something. Could you give me a page that has the answers if you know of one?

Oh, wow. Judging from the title, this is LITERALLY what I was looking for. I honestly did try searching for it, but simply just "50/50" didn't work since it was either too small of a search or gave too many results.

She has a HORRIBLY slow OH and a decent but unsafe low. Her zoning is pretty alright. She has a crazy quick and far-reaching neutral starter and an AWESOME ex Ball Roll. Just hoping that her cons aren't too fatal. I guess I'll find out after I read the other thread.
