Its strange how the run cancel actually scales the combo to where its weaker even if you ex the bug. I've been working on some Oki corner set ups by unable to dash cancel successfully. The idea is this, and you need a meter to keep the pressure going.
F22 dash bug cancel F11xxEX Bug back dash jip 212xxdb1 njp JiK 212xxMB db1 (this causes a corner oki and is safe against wake ups including armor ones) for a strong meaty unlockable set up you can throw in an overhead and repeat the set up or if you confirm the oki I was njp jik f34 f44 f112xxdb4. Thoughts on this oki? Trying to find a game changer with her

New player here, only just getting into fighting games with MKX so I have a bunch of questions lol

All of the bug cancelling people are doing in combos is always just normal grenade right? And the few EX grenades I see in combos are mostly following a F11 and used as a punish it seems (but even this doesn't seem very common)?

I'm curious because one of the big problems I feel like with my play is that I don't seem to be using meter as much as I should be (I just about only use it for breakers), but where are people using it in their matches? Unless I'm missing something, none of her EX moves seem to fit into her strings or make that much of a difference... Almost all the combos here are meterless.

It depends on the variation on what you would ex, like you said for punishing, swarm queen uses meter to turn her 31% into 41%. venomous would use meter to extend combos by ex her spawning puddle (db1) and ex db14 for more poison ticks.

Venomous Corner Vortex, it isn't strong but a vortex nevertheles. Do the tradition bnb ti start it off.
212xxdb1 212xxdf1 charge 16 hits for 28. If you stop the spray second to the last hit you will stand them up and be + enough so you can follow it up with f22xxdf1 11hits for 14% or b1xxdf1 10hits for 11%

Has anyone found more strings out of f42? I think there was one in here but it was really dependent on starting from a specific distance

Besides being in between full screen and mid screen, wiffing f3 and letting the 2 land you can confirm a d1 into db4. In the venomous variation instead of d1 you d3 into db4 to stack poison

I did a breakdown here if anyone wants to check it out. It's for swarm queen and in general what she can do in certain situations. I didn't cover grenade cancelling because thatll be in a more advanced video.
Too bad you are not talking about the f11, df1 cancel or f112 df1 cancel pressure. f112 is her best footsy move and the best starter for damage (43% 1 bar).

I used the Swarm Queen variation and Scorpion was a bit of a nuisance for me
the teleport mixups was a problem for me.
A blocked teleport from scorpion can be punished with 212 and lead into a full 31% combo with the swarm variation.

I haven't messed around with bug cancelling too much, the potential I see in it though is not so much combos, but more block string pressure. Is the block stun large enough that you won't get punished on a forward dash?

Which combo for swarm queen turns the 31 into the 41% one?

Got 212 EXDB1 NJ2 F22 DB4 for 30% plus like another 8% or so in venom stacks. It's a bit easier without the NJ2, but you go down to 26% with another 5.5% in venom

And I just found out you can do her Fatal Attraction string (B341+3) with the grab button instead of 1+3. 212 plus that string gets you a real easy 25%

but guys..... jump in/ netural jump scales the damage.

and another great corner combo in swarm queen. F22 wasp ~~ f11 ex wasp f44 f44 21u3 airthrow. by me.

I don't think I saw this posted here yet, but just a reminder. Her b12 into jc grabbed can be also cancelled into an Xray attack

Off of the 212 starter bnb its about 43%. Not really worth it if you can get a clean f22 hit into ex swarm bug, but its an option if you're trying to close out the match

I played some matches online with her, and like 75% of the time F11xxExWasp gets punished after F11 with a throw or a d2.
Instead i use F11 just for punishing and as a "get in" Move, followed by 212xxdb1 f23 into grab.
