I'm not exactly sure if they are ones who actually screwed up with that countdown making it possible to download some data before the rest was deployed.

That said, this screwup turned out to be worse than expected. People who bear title of "journalist" (and thus have some credibility, if unwarranted) started to post their writings suggesting that MKX is actually out on PC, but is totally unplayable this time. They didn't even cared to check out what actually happened. Now, I don't think that community will be taking losses because of that error, but there may be slight financial ramifications for WB.

lol they still haven't even said anything? Not a, "sorry we fucked up"? Even if the game wasn't meant to come out tonight, they put thousands of people through a giant fucking tease. They should have at least confirmed it would be available when steam store updates.

It's very early in Chicago atm (HVS is located in Chicago also), they don't even work at this hour. Few hours more probably.

There is no way that no one knows about this. HVS would have known last night when it first happened. I don't see how they could just set a unlock time and preload then got oFF work at 530pm ready to ignore their games launch. Just crossed fingers and went home when their shift was done?

Well, that's kinda the point. I may be wrong, but when I checked that timer on Saturday (I believe), it was showing 3 days, some hours. It was supposed to expire today, in about 5+ hours, not yesterday. I was surprised when I've seen download option yesterday, but chalked it up to pre-download. It didn't quite work. Today I've realised, after doing a bit of research, that it wasn't supposed to be pre-download, it was just a screwup. Still, devs have a few hours to set everything in a working order.

Again, I hope I'm not wrong with my memories.

So, this confirms that they "lost" about 24 hours in the process there somewhere. I guess that is exactly the screwup we are talking about.

My original point stays though, it was not going to be released on Friday by any stretch
