Are you re-downloading the 3gb?
yes, but unless somethings changed you're doing the 3 gig download. the fact that you're at 20% in that time frame somewhat confirms this. I mean i hope it works, but my own experience and what i've read indicates that there's no way to force the full download.
Exactly, the game tells you before you are at the menu if you have the game fully downloaded or not. I am not worried about it.
I tried doing that, but it didn't help. No extra packages and I still crash.

I see. That was the most credible think I've read in the steam forums, there's so much rage going on.
They unlocked the game though, shouldn't have anything to do with it unless that somehow effects us getting the rest of the game downloaded. Regardless, the 3gb version and the whole streaming game feature that was promised isn't working for anyone since we're all still crashing. Thankfully so many great streams are up so I'm not too annoyed.
yeah this will deter anyone who hasn't bought the game yet or has never played...The rest of us will still be waiting for hours.. i'm goin to a buddies house to play on his ps4.
