Originally they never planned to, we're just lucky we've had these bits and pieces so far.

If I had to guess the 180mb was Goro because if you can preload then you pre-ordered.
The 3gb or whatever is probably the day 1 patch.

It seems ridiculous to not do it. Wonder if it saves them some money or something to not do it.

Nah, "time completed" changes every few minutes, dunno why. But nothing was actually downloaded (0/0 Bytes).

Oh god yes I can preload now! I didn't think we were gonna be able to preload on steam from all the stuff people had said.

Thank you Earth Realm Gods for this. I am now preloaded and awaiting the launch to patch and go in on this beauty.

All I'm hoping for now is to get the full game soon (it's gonna take many hours to download). If it means I have to wait till 7pm to actually play it, so be it.

Damn, still nothing. Gonna have to leave the PC on while I go to sleep, hopely not in vain... That would be really crap.

Been a while since I posted here, I too will be playing on PC :D

Although I live in South Africa, we do have a smallish community here, but here's hoping the netcode holds up for a few international matches as well.

I found this review by Polygon and here is what they had to say about the multiplayer:

In the dozens of matches of Mortal Kombat X that I've played online (via a wi-fi connection), I've experienced a wide variety of technical performance. Some early matches felt a bit sluggish, while others had a handful of full-second delays in action as the networking code caught up. But recently, the game's online performance has seemed solid; I've experienced a few fights that felt almost indistinguishable from offline fights. We'll be keeping an eye on the game's online performance at launch.

alright boys, got a chance to run the game on PS4 for a day thanks to my team.

My PC version is preloading as we speak, if anyone wants to get a nice set in early in the morning (1-6 am CST} Just add me on steam HandySavage*^
