Thoughts so far:

Rushdown heavy, but not a surprise. With only a few days I wouldn't want to risk a zoning/setup strategy. Props to ketchup for trying.

Quan- shit actually looks really really nice. He's obviously going to be eaten alive by pressure, but I see tremendous potential for both styles shown.

Erron- fucking hell. Caltrops in corner was just gross.

Kun jin- Seeing him, a mostly zoner with a melee style, convert for 30% meterless gives me some hope damage is going to be good. Honestly though I find him boring as shit.

Jax- Disgusting. So many options, and gotcha mixup is just mean. Great damage as well, looks really strong.

Radien- got bodied, but I can see the idea. Hopefully his damage pans out a bit better, because that projectile is awful.

Scorpion- wow. Seeing it in action is just a whole other level. The range on those normals and his ability to still convert, and more importantly, telecancel, is just scary.

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
I expect Tyrant to lose but it'll hurt to see. I like Tyrant a lot. Also where dat Bernie gif at?

TONY-T

Mad scientist
Tony shoulda probably gone with Displacer to escape that pressure. Also I'm 3-0 on my predictions!
There was an issue with the configs due to the Titan one converter i was using. Every time Tyrant changed configs after me, it would change my "alternate controls" config to on, it basically made my specials into quarter circle forward movements instead of down forward movements. Effectively, i could not do ex shocker to get out of the corner pressure, as i was doing down forward movents.

You can see me at fullscreen trying to do fireballs but only a standing jab Coming out.

This is not Tyrants fault and i give him full credit for the win he is an amazing player!

Had i had the correct inputs i feel Tyrant would have still won, though there would of been more times where i would have punished his corner pressure.

Plus on block.

You did fine man, given the circumstances.

I'm glad you used Thunder God because that's the variation I'm most interesting in, and i'm glad that you can do some super nasty combos with it.

Sonic Fox is playing so damn boring.

I can't fault him for playing to win but this shit is anti-hype.
I disagree. It's not really his fault he gets all those free slides. Lots of money on the line I would cheese too. He's really just winning with pro strats and really good conversions.

I literally said "I can't fault him for playing to win".

He's playing smart, but his version of smart is boring to watch IMO.

Nothing wrong with him playing well at all.

I wonder why no one is back dashing?
Costs meter and folks are desperate to maintain pressure it seems. If folks can't read the enemy options yet its risky to try to zone too hard so they play it safe and save meter and try to just overpressure each other while they know everyone isn't certain how to block their strings.

Its safer to stay in that out this early on because its easier to collect yourself to learn how a zoning tool is working but its much harder to read the fast pressure of strings. Quan Chi from Ketchup in Round 1 was your best chance for a zoner, but he got out rushed by Erron Black and command grabs.
