Now Im ready for MKX!

Only now I understand what it means to actually have a great Controller which instantly responds to you actual imputs and does not fuck up important moments for you... It's so much fucking better than all those fake DualShock-like controllers that I had... Hory shit!

I'm getting it on PC, I just hope I'll be able to run it at a consistent frame rate and that it's not a horrible port.

Is there a player list somewhere? I plan on playing this game like crazy and I'd love to add people, especially those from the east coast in the US for best possible connection. I was no slouch in MK9, hope I won't be too rusty execution wise after taking a long break from fighting games. Anyways, feel free to add me.

I might buy the game on PC later if I decide to make offline youtube videos of some kind for it. Its easier or faster for me to record PC footage, commentate and edit the video.

So, fighting game pcfriends, I need a new gamepad. My DS2, finest pad ever made, is finally on its last legs. It survived two entire console generations and has done very valiant service with my etokki converter, but it's no longer in acceptable shape to continue using. I'm loath to let it go, but nothing lasts forever and I need to start searching for something new and good enough to be up to snuff for fighters. What are you guys using? How do you rate it?

I have a SF Arcade Tournament Edition Fightstick collecting dust, hardly used in its hardly worn nice box. I keep it around for that day I won't ever play SF, even though I have told myself id eventually play it.

But I have a announcement for the PC MKX scene,

I had a dream, A dream that I can play Mortal Kombat X on PC, and still go to tournaments. A dream that my PS4 that is collecting dust will only be used as another station for offline casuals. I had a dream. That PC's and Consoles were NOT created equally, yes I had a dream.

And it kicks ass, Angry Joe had a little interview with a guy named Ed Boon.

Assured us, that the PC version or port if you will, is going to kick ass in other words.

Get hype, blow the dust off your 120mm PC case fans, GPU, CPU cooler fan, memory. SLAP YOUR GIRLFRIEND IN THE FACE, because we are playing in 4K BABY!... Or just 1080p, because that is all my display can output.

I've been using the DS4 and it seems pretty well-suited to fighters (MK at least), and certainly feels a lot better than a DS3. I'm considering using it over the multitude of fight sticks I have since it's pretty comfortable and accurate.

How's the support? I remember getting a DS3 to work on PC was an absolute bear.

I bought DS4 few days ago just for MKX and it's great. Very accurate and comfortable. I already got better with my main in MK9 because I don't drop huge combos of innaccurate controller like before. It's not hard to make it work on PC.

Of course he would say that, why wouldn't he. He isn't in the business of sabotaging his own stuff.

PC version might be fine, however its a port done by a 3rd party so who the fuck knows.

Ok, well the PC MK9 port was good, I promise. So logic tells me, if the MK9 port was good, then the MKX port will be good. If you watched the interview, it sounds like their is more focus on the MKX port, its also releasing on Steam the same day as consoles.

There is no focus on the port that's why netherrealm is not doing it and they handed it off to another company, they can't be bothered.

Like look, PC port all in all will probably(hopefully) be fine, just don't do any mental gymnastics to think things that are not there.

Fair enough,

On controller subject, it has been 4 years since I attended a tournament. Does anyone know if PS4 controllers will be allowed at majors like EVO? They were banned in 2011 (PS3 controllers) because of the PS button.

I know I plan to use a PS2 controller with a PS2 USB convertor for PC. Id love if I could play with a PS2 controller on PS4. They are cheaper, and still better in my personal opinion for MK.

I have InputMapper installed (which supports DS4 emulating a 360 controller) BUT I don't run it. That being said, I can't recall if it installed any modified drivers. I don't think it did.

If that's the case, then it's working fine natively and I've been using it in big picture mode to navigate as well as play MK9 and Dragonball :)
