Best rush down character/variations

I'm really look in forward to getting into MK from SF. I love rush down main Rufus main in SF. After doing some reading I'm thinking Millena with her pincer and ravenous variations or Johnny cage with the stunt double or cassie with Hollywood. Any other characters or variations worth looking into with great rush down.

"My kunai will find it's mark."
In MK9 most people who mained Rufus, or the Twins gravitated towards Kung Lao, as he is a rush down character with a dive kick lol

Kung Lao is the go-to if you want rushdown and divekicks, otherwise you'd have to be more detailed about what kind of rushdown/aspect you're looking for.
There's a lot of solid lookin cantidates this time around that seem to be based around tearing shit up at close range.

Ugh, Rufus. *shivers* Worst fighting game character ever right after El Fuerte. You might want to look at Kano's commando variation, I think it makes him a grappler. Kotal Khan also seems to be dominant up-close. Guess we'll see when the game releases!

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
Liu Kang with his bicycle punch chip damage looks pretty solid to me for pressure.

Eddy Wang

Skarlet scientist
Sonya looks tough to main for once, understanding those tools will be dificult.

An easy Rushdown character to go i would advice Reptile first, then maybe Cassie

TotteryManx

cr. HP Master
Well, we don't have the game yet, but Liu Kang and Kung Lao seem to have the tools for solid rushdown. Kang has a MMH like orb he can set up and his bicycle kick leaves you standing. If Kung Lao has a hat on the screen it gives him a opportunity to go in.

Liu kang, Kung lao, jax, reptile, mileena, cage and i'm sure MANY more have variations that rush down mofos.

Warrior
Almost every single character has some sort of close range variation, even shinnok and kenshi.

But what really makes a rushdown character is its ease of getting in. You can have all the tools to do 50% combos and godly chip but it's worthless if you struggle to get in.

Characters with dive kicks, armored advancing moves and teleports will have an easier time approaching. If you are a Rufus main then you want a dive kick, good air to air and long reaching normals. So bird Lao is your man.

I was looking at Kung Lao MKX gameplay again last night at work, and it just occurred to me that his Buzzsaw variation looks godly for rushdown. As much as I dislike Kung Lao because of MK9, I think it would be an injustice to myself to not learn that variation in this game. I am all about the rushdown.

ShArp

Dedicated Broly main
There are different kind of rushdowns depending on different characters / variations.
I for myself mained Raiden in MK9 and tried to get in / do pressure with different teleport mixups, doing hits on opponents blocks and then instantly teleporting behind them to start new combo etc. Especially I loved Raiden's ex-tp for tricks and shit. And in MKX Raiden's Displacer seems like a lot better version of MK9 Raiden.
Being able to get in and out with almost zero effort by having Fastest TP in the game, being able to decide WHERE you want to teleport (infront OR behind your opponent, unlike MK9) is what IMO will make Raiden a real pain in the ass for people playing against him.

My other Main and rushdown char will be Mileena with Piercing being priority for straight rushdowns and Etheral for mix-ups.
Also Kenshi's variation for up-close combat looks like a perfect rushdown variation.
