Brutality requirements?

Doctor Future

So, obviously there will be multiple brutalities per character, and possibly variation specific ones, but I wonder if they are all the same.

Like, perform this special numerous times, or end the round with this move.

Also, anyone notice that in the last stream, a brutality was done directly after an x-ray animation?

I believe that's pretty badass, like using the x-ray to kill your opponent, literally!

With the impending "meh" fatalities, who here thinks they'll be using brutalities more as the common finisher?

One of Scorpion's requires you to apparently crouch a bunch of times in a match. I think that some will have very easy requirements, some will have goofy requirements, and some will have difficult requirements.

Twice now on the Kombat Kasts a surprise brutality has happened at the end of the match, so we can expect brutalities to be fairly commonplace.

I hear you have to buy the kombat pack in order to do brutalities

I'm starting to think stage Brutalities don't exist...

*heavy sighs*
There's rumors of Stage intractable brutalities, which would be similar.

Really it seems you can get brutalities off of anything you can EX and deals damage (so for example probably not reptiles invis?)

We've certainly seen:

Generic special move brutalities: (ermac lift...although it's possible that since it's modified in one variation it only works in that one?)

Style specific brutalities: (numerous)

Throw brutalities (kung lao)

X Ray brutalities (uhh...i forgot who. I think sonya did it?)

so the idea that intractables could work as well isn't that far off, and would be an easy way for them to slide in stage fatalities

There are stage brutalites i seen one during a stream earlier

Spammer. Crouch walk hater.
Well, first of all I'm glad it says what you need to do instead of having to try stupid stuff like jumping arround like a goat on meth trying to guess the requirements.

Second, since they seem to be standard things that you do in a match (like spam buttons during a move or crouching n stuff) we might see a lot of brutalities without the players even knowing it's going to happen. Which in my oppinion is pretty cool :D

Johnny has a nutpunch brutality that requires to nutpunch 4 times during the match and something else.
cassies pistol shot brutality requires 50% percent health and half screen distance

Yeah I saw a stage brutality in one of the streams, where scorpion put a tree stump in sub zeros chest in the dead woods stage.

Interesting!

I like that some require a certain amount of health.

I could also see a requirement being either getting a flawless or winning without blocking/running.
