i'd like to see more variety in future games

With the release of champions delving further back into history like Kotal Kahn's obvious relation to the Aztec culture, it seems that NRS is (thankfully) moving away from their over-developed fetish for ninja gear. Do you guys think we'll soon see other historical references in future characters?

personally I'd like to see someone with Greco-Roman roots, perhaps with a Spartan design, or Middle Eastern, or hell, even a second attempt at a decent Native American who isn't both terrible and slightly racist would be pretty neat. there's a lot of cultures and warriors that NRS hasn't yet drawn on that I think could be used to great extent by their creative minds

Fact: with the technical exception of Smoke being from Spain, and the likely exception of Mavado who next to no one cared about...MK has never had a legitimate token Latino warrior. Ever.

We need a badass luchador or a Puerto Rican or Dominican warrior for the next title. Not like an El Fuerte masked flippy bro, I mean take Eddie Kingston or Homicide and skin them onto a character, give them a cold and heartless from the streets backstory, and let them off the leash.

I sure as hell hope they don't make a sort of checklist game...
I like the game to have flavor to were you know what you are getting in the lore... Sure Erron and Kotal fit and are fine and it's neat that they are different... But to me that's why they are different... If everyone was crazy different it wouldn't be as cool... It would be KI... And that is fine it works for KI.... Not for MK...

Yeah if they are different characters fine... Its a game about ninjas even the gods are ninjas...
Its like saying no mores elves or dwarfs in a fantasy rpg... Different for the sake of different never works... You get ten cookie cutter characters with little to make them special... I like how they are fleshing out all the characters in the game... To just say ninja is ignorant...

it's not about different for the sake of different

there are a fuck-ton of cultures that NRS hasn't explored and Earthrealm is all of Earth so it makes sense that the battle for Earthrealm would involve... all of Earth.

I'm saying so what... There are a ton of cultures alot of game don't have mashed in them... If something like Kotal happens in the next game where a race from another realm has some similar traits to a known culture fine if it fits... Im not going to go I want a lumberjack though...
Everything does not fit everything and I like that MK has its own thing... Pls yourself...

Canadians should fight in mortal Kombat too then... They have axes and are powerful warriors... Do you doubt Canada... They don't have a place in your vision....
Im on the fence with Erron... They can make him fit... I have nothing against him and he is kinda dope... But he is very close to just being a cowboy cutout....I think they can add enough different to make it work...
But all I'm saying is everyone be great different characters is fine I wouldn't like it if everyone was from different eras and all that's it would be a bit much and like other fighters that I think k that very set up hurts....
