"new darker mk" doesn't exist. MK9 was supposed to be "new and darker" and it clearly wasn't. Nothing about this series has ever taken itself seriously except a portion of the fan base.

Well, they're half-right; this game has a big healthy smattering of Injustice in it. And they will learn to love it.. Muahahahah.


The thing I find hypocritical is that when some of the same mechanics were introduced in IGAU it was "can't wait for MK to come back, dashblock bro", but then MK shows up with non-cancelled dashes and no dashblock, pushblock, characters with crazy traits, get-out-of-the-corner interactibles, the injustice floaty-ish jumping style, a green-arrow-style character, a gigantic Bane/Grundy-looking character, flash's trait on Reptile, and 30 more things, and it's "Yooo hype MKX!!"

At the end of the day though, people who enjoyed both games are probably the real winners. They both have their own merits, and it's good to see MKX combine the best of both worlds.

thats because I'm awesome and very likeable. And interactables are still stupid regardless of being able to block them. Make sure to send me a FR on PSN so I can throw my ice clone at your face. Ice clone throw= unbeatable.

I love everything about this thread.

On that note I admit that I was on the skeptical side about the lack of dash canceling at first, as can be seen in my status update page, but then I saw the God tier walk speed and running in action and I was sold.

I still don't like any of the new characters with the exception of Cassie and Kotal and would rather have classic characters in their place. But that's not going to change so I learned to live with that.

I didnt like injustice nearly as much for one reason injustice was more of watching then fighting. Yes interactibles are part of MKX but it doesnt break the flow like injustice.
Two things im glad arent back are wagers and stage transfers, I want a fighting game not stare at the screen just watching mid fight

Yup. I was legit pissed when I first saw MKX. I have convinced myself to love it even though it looks like a super polished clay fighter, lol.

People be hella complaining about MKX lmao whether it is the looks of it or the characters gameplay and etc. Tbh I dnt really give a damn about what ppl do not like about it because it is my favorite series of all time period point blank and I will play it no matter what. #MK4LIFE #YEEAAAAPPP
