Noob - yeah could add him, smoke - he was actually quite cool in mk9, sektor & cyrax - iconic for sure, night wolf - who cares, sareena - meh, baraka - i wont lose sleep over it.

Just be patient and wait for another DLC wave. Im sure it wont be 'populated' by some scrubby ass characters like Tanya or Jason. The roster grew on me a bit to be honest. In the end, there are only a few characters I dont really want to play.

obviously id prefer if baraka made it in, still think its a odd decision because of how dark mkx visuals is compared to MK9.

out the new characters so far only ones i dont care for are kung jin and jacqui, rest seem cool to me.

I really don't get why people are freaking out this much, like with injustice they went over the initial DLC and added MMH and Zatanna, you really think they'll miss the opportunity of adding these characters that'll sell like Hot cakes?

They'll make a 2nd DLC pack that'll have Fujin and Reiko and Shang and all the shitty ass robots you desire so fuckin calm down and enjoy whoever is on the current roster and quit the derp "roster sucks but imma still buy the game" pointless bitching..

The whole family thing is kinda meh imo. It's like you have Sonya and Johnny, but then then there is Cassie that has their best moves combined. They all just seem too similar, but we will have to wait and see. Still way too hyped for this tho

When Cassie Cage was revealed and seen with moves of her parents, it was assumed she was a successor to them, and they wouldn't be in it (at least for me). I wish they didn't have Johnny and Sonya even though they play different from Cassie entirely. Johnny and Sonya could've been Smoke and Rain though like cmon.

There are few 1:1 things in her moveset from her parents and each character has several string, a dozen~ normals, universal special moves, and variation specific special moves. Cassie shares so few of these with her parents it's ridiculous. She doesn't play like Johnny or Sonya AT ALL so why would they exclude them just because she's in?

Jade (my fave character) is not even in there, and I am still 100% content with the roster. Some people are preferred over others, but people seem to be happy so its okay. I also like all the new characters except for Takeda.

thats funny actually. yes i understand yours and others point of view but by pure aesthetical quality i just do not like the name, and it adds a stone to the wall of things i dont like about the character

I gave 9 things, 3 of which are direct copies of another move (moves the person doesn't have in MKX) out of a moveset that has, like, 30 different things. Sonya IS retired or heading to retirement but came out of it for this threat. Also, if Cage is truly Earth's champion right now then he WON'T age. No it shouldn't, should Kira have been a farewell to Kano/Sonya? Should Takeda be a farewell to Scorpion/Kenshi? She's her own character with flecks of her parents and those flecks are small. There's no reason to exclude Sonya/Johnny just because she's in when she doesn't play like either character and the game span 25 years so post-MK9 Sonya/Johnny should be there for that time frame and Cassie later on.

No cyborgs is weird... but I was never a huge cyborg fan anyway.

And I'm glad johnny and sonya are in... they both look amazing and with them in, all the MK1 characters are in the game, which is awesome.

Not their successor ... IN THIS GAME.

I think they are setting up the franchise for that. Johnny even has a little speech about their generation needing to step up in story mode (was in the briggs family trailer). They want to include the old characters in the first game with the successors to kind of ease everyone in to not having the originals anymore. That way, by the time the next game comes around... the new characters will have their own fanbases.

I'm not thrilled with the roster either, but I've accepted it. The boring old earth realmers were always my least fav ones, and this roster is chock full of them. I think I'm saltiest about the omission of smoke tho...

With that said, it's still mk, and I'm still gonna love the hell out of it. If anything, i might just have to main predator to take my anger out on all these puny earth realmers >

I am disappointed, but ill play the hell out of the game anyway.

About half the cast is good. I'll probably never stop saying this... if lin kuei is one of the factions there should be lin kuei characters in the game. B- roster.

Dont mean this as a slight, but i would be curious as to the age range of people that think this roster is great. Alot of the characters seem to be from the previous games that were more recent.
