It's good but someone like myselft feel that something is missed.
Maybe more "mystic" characters beside human with devices and so on...

However, NRS have done a good job with the gameplay so, we have to wait to play the game and hope to be blown up!

When Cassie Cage was revealed and seen with moves of her parents, it was assumed she was a successor to them, and they wouldn't be in it (at least for me). I wish they didn't have Johnny and Sonya even though they play different from Cassie entirely. Johnny and Sonya could've been Smoke and Rain though like cmon.

The roster is bad and the new characters plain suck. I couldn't care less for some out of place brute with a loli on his back, or all that boring family crap. The only good new char is Kotal Khan (not his name though, ffs). Also they said MK X would have more new chars than any previous MK game, well I count 8 new chars, which is still less than Deception introduced.

Looking at it, I think it is ok and most fit in well. I thought the would kill of either Johnny or Sonya off and only have one in the game. I was surprised and a little disappointed that they were both in it. I think it is a shame to have Jax and Jaquiline in the same game too. I think Jaquiline would be enough, because we are a little too top heavy with the Special Forces. Getting rid of Jax and putting in an evil brother of Jaquiline would have been cool and made the family theme a little more interesting.

I am not a fan of these characters but Shang, Bo Rai Cho, Shujinko make the most sense as replacements story wise.

Baraka and Cyrax simply because of their icon status

Nightwolf would actually also make some sense after the Sindel incident in MK9 - but not as much as the others above.

Overall I am pretty happy as my favorites (including Tanya) made it.

Whoever came up with that 'Family Feud' crap deserves to be slapped. The Teen Titans, as someone else called them, are mostly boring. They should've called this Mortal Kombat: Modern Family Edition.

I wouldn't say the roster is bad, more like the omitting of several fan favorites is rubbing people the wrong way. People probably wouldn't be complaining about characters such as the Brigg's and Cage's had other, more eclectic characters (such as Cyrax, Smoke, Fujin, Sareena, etc.) gotten in as well. Sometimes I feel like the story actually gets in the way of MK, and NRS forgets that in the end people just want to play as their favorite characters, regardless of whether or not it makes sense in the plot.

On that note, if the plot is THAT important why not make certain characters unlockable? It's just trifling to see four characters using military themed devices when you could also have had Smoke who's enenra form makes his possibilities limitless and unique. I can tell you right now, if I see Jax or Jacqui toss out a grenade I'm going to scream.

The amount of military characters is kinda iffy I will concede but doesn't make the roster bad imo. Would have liked to see some returning outworlders. I'm happy overall though.

No there is : kano , sub zero , shinnok ,quan chi , erron black , kenshi , jayson , tremor , predator so roster is good for me Even in mk9 or injustice there was not so much characters I liked

I think his point was it doesn't have to sound original when it's a title. But I think not liking his name is a nitpick.

Iot not dream roster, but it isnt crap nither. We basically lack few minor soldiers like Cyrax. Sektor and maybe Smoke/Cyber Smoke. Other then that its not a big deal anyway. Most important is the netcode and balance.

It's not the best roster ever, but pretty much almost all my favourite characters are in, so I can't really complain. Also, Predator. That is all.
