well this is a day -3 tournament so game specialists wont learn enough yet
Agreed, that's why I think Hart will do well--I was just using Wong as an example for my thought process.

People crying about Ryan Hart being in the Fatal 8 because he's not "one of us" need to think about the bigger picture here. Exposure. It's a great way to gain some interest from Capcom/Tekken/other fighting games to have a player that isn't known for MK competing in this exhibition. I think it's a smart choice by ESL/NRS/WB to have him in the Fatal 8.
Hart is a great player--personally, I'm very happy to see him in it and looking forward to this exhibition. Should be some exciting gameplay and scrambles with it being brand new.

I think Ryan Hart will do well--total guess, but he has really strong fundamentals. It's sort of like how when Justin Wong dominates a game early on--he doesn't even practice, but then once game specialist learn enough it can overpower his fundamentals. Wong did this with MK9 and Killer Instinct. That's my rationale.

Grand Finals guess: Ryan Hart vs. Perfect Legend
I sincerely believe that is a myth. If Wong never practiced he wouldn't know combos and what is punishable in the game early on. I believe he practices when a game drops and then abandons it after the prize pot dwindles.

i believe he practices when the game drops and abandons it when the prize pot dwindles if he doesn't like the game. from what i remember, wong was vocal about not liking mk9

It certainly could be. But if you watch his gameplay, it's not uncommon to see him using outdated combos, not optimized, etc. and still win. I'm sure he practices when it first comes out to get a baseline, but it always looks like he's using day 1 stuff and winning with it.

I know who all the testers are and can confirm none of them are playing in this. The only ones who have a slight advantage are probably MIT and Ketchup/Mustard since they have played some of the game at Conventions.

So who are the testers? Classified information?
