"Test Your Salt #1" Xbox one Online Tournament Thread. (MKX)

Welcome TYM to the Test your salt thread!
Some of you may remember the "God Games" online tournaments I previously held for Injustice on the Xbox 360.
Due to their demanding success I wanted to continue that tradition with MKX despite the fact I know alot of people will be purchasing PS4s over the Xbox one us Xbox players will still continue our reign of online terror.​

About

This tournament will serve as a platform for all Xbox one players to compete in a tournament environment helping them to warm up to the nerves of real offline events and to seek out people playing at their best.
The tournament will not be streamed (Due to the upload speed in my area) and it will not also be recorded in it's entirety.
Previously I would only record and upload the finals, this tradition may stick but I may also be tempted to record and upload the top 8.

The tournament is capped at 32 players, it can get very hectic with more than that, even up to 32 can be a little chaotic to manage online when some people are confused about their matches, just be patient I will make sure you know who you're playing and when and what to do just be patient, thanks!

Rules

Rules are as followed:​
  • Best 2 out of 3 (FT2)
  • Finals are Best 3 out of 5 (FT3)
  • If you are a no show within 5-10 minutes of your match I will DQ you into losers, the same will happen in losers if you still do not show up. (If you are going to run late please let me know i'll postpone as long as possble)
  • Stage select will be choose freely, stages are not a huge factor like they were in Injustice so have fun!
  • Winners lock on. (This includes Variation) Upon winning you must replay the same character and variation you just played, losers may switch freely between characters or variations.
I really hope to see alot of you interested in these once again and hope to get the same competitive hyped atmosphere we had with God games, please if you have any question just ask.

You know I had completely phased over that, the way I see it winners lock should lock variations too we'll see what people as a collective think though.

It will be 100% better than MK9, Injustice was a step in the right direction so you know it'll be bearable, however who knows how good it'll be overall, at least injustice level for sure you can't go backwards with new gen technology now can you lol

I'll have an Xbone copy, and a PC copy, so I'm definitely down as long as I can plan in advance and tell the wife when she needs to shut the f*ck up about me playing video games (read: grovel nicely)

I'd also vote for winner lock on variations, but I'll really reserve my judgement until I see how the game plays out.

Glad to see so many Xbox One players, I was expcting alot of people to have jumped ship to PS4 but it's looking pretty good so far, these will be even more fun than the Injustice ones ^_^

I think once the game drops I'll give a week or two (time for practice and organization) then try and figure out a set date, so yes it's still going to be a while but just keep an eye on the thread after release to find out what you can do.

I'm down also about the whole streaming thing we could stream our own games from xbox one I have 15 mb up.so if people have good internet that's an option aswell as a volunteer to stream in the watch mode in koth :)

haha yeah there is that you can stream your own matches if you are able and would like to ^_^
Problem is hopping to various streams isn't the same as sitting in one stream, I wish I was able to do it but it just wont be possible for another few months.

They already said there is an option to cater streamers so if people can't stream there own games then I'm sure some one will volunteer.....

About the skipping from stream to stream yea that's a ball ache lol

Due to the game being unreleased for yet another couple of weeks we'll work on the date and the numbers.

Despite there being no date as of yet you can sign up in advance regardless, this will help me determine how many people are keen for an early fun and friendly tournament.
