As a resident of beantown, I'm curious what the landscape is for MK tournaments in New England or the northeast generally. Do I have to hop in a jet?
Bean town is a less desirable area to travel to, because unless youre in there, its not close to any other region. The main events that new england has to offer are the "guts" tournaments (game underground tournament series). I love bean town, and any excuse to head there to revisit old places that I fell in love with I will find and trick myself into going with. Def check out game underground's website. They'll probably start doing a month mkx tournaemnt when that game comes out.As a resident of beantown, I'm curious what the landscape is for MK tournaments in New England or the northeast generally. Hell yeah!@TackyHaddock There is a release weekend MKX tournament already planned on the 18th, and other fighting games too. The aforementioned GU is expanding and this is the last fighting game tournament in the old location, and all venue fees go towards a new dedicated fighting game area!

Is this the one in Framingham? I work in Waltham and I've been looking for a place nearby so if it IS this location you just made me VERY happy. Any other info you can provide? Any casual days? Are the tournaments usually like Fri/Sat nights? Im on the website now, but I can't get on to facebook while at work.Hey man theres actually going to be a local scene in boston for mkx at a place called game underground once it comes out

It is the one in Framingham, right on Route 9. At the end of April they're moving to the natick mall, which I believe is ten minutes down the street. Nice and easy from Waltham. Is this the one in Framingham? I work in Waltham and I've been looking for a place nearby so if it IS this location you just made me VERY happy. Yeah Bill is my boy. I was watching the game at Tavern in the Square in Allston. Never in my life have I switched that abruptly from utter despair (Kearse catch) to utter joy (Butler). If you also like the Pats and MK, that's like 80% of my interests right there lolYeah the food is certainly good. I just want to say I love your avatar. Thanks so MUCH! This was super helpful! I hope to see you there some time!It is the one in Framingham, right on Route 9. At the end of April they're moving to the natick mall, which I believe is ten minutes down the street. Nice and easy from Waltham.
The schedule there has been Tues: smash at night, Fri: fighting game night, small USF4 and other tournaments depending on interest, One Saturday afternoon a month is tournaments.
If you exclude my wife and dog then this pretty much covers my interests as well. HahaYeah Bill is my boy. I was watching the game at Tavern in the Square in Allston. That's great to hear, life support is the standard for most scenes, mine included, so this is great news. Its going ok, NRS has been on life support in new england since MK9.
GU still does monthly tournaments, and some of us go on friday nights to practice.
