When your only competition is 5 other people who play online then you really have no reason to buy the game. I'm gonna play it once a week at locals and thats it.

Playstation has region lock, XBox does not. This proves that it has nothing to do with net code. THEY HAVE THE SAME NETCODE.

There are many reasons to be in favor of or against region lock... net code is not one of them...

MKDC was bad online, but MKA takes the cake lol. There were literally glitches that added online-only tech, and it was much less stable.

I think PS4 will be tournament standard.

Also I cannot say for sure about the online capabilities of PS4 vs XBox since PS4 upgraded to pay for play. On the PS4 games I have played online only geographical locaion (ping) affected my play but in the States I connect great with everyone.

Explain how Tekken and Street Fighter are not region locked and they are on BOTH XBox and PSN.

Region locking? In 2015? Come one NRS, that's just bad shit. Every other fighting game will have proper global online, GG SF Tekken KI, all of them. Region locking makes NRS look so amateurish in comparison. I played some Tekken Tag online the other day. Played some dude in Brazil, no real lag. He kicked the shit out of me. Come on NRS, how can you not step up your online game after all this time and all the complaints?

What makes it even worse is that NRS officially lied to the fans. In the 'Next' trailer, John Edwards exact words were: "for the first time, we will be able to connect all Mortal Kombat players from around the globe". That was clearly a lie. At the very least, this is poor stuff from NRS and at the worst its shady shit

Tbh, why even bother with the region lock, if we don't even have insight on the netcode, it's doesn't matter if it''s locked or not if the netcode isn't good, in case it's bad(and i really hope it's not), you will have issues playing online regardless of the distance.
