UPDATE: The balltops are printed and are in the process of being painted. We had a little scare because our coating for the balltop that we were previously using didn't hold up against wear and tear. We figured out a new method that should be better.

As a warning though, we don't have enough time to fully test the new coating as much as we want, but we are confident that it will work out. For the 3 of you that win the balltops, please let us know if you experience any problems with the coating. I want our products to be the best we can make them, so the feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Also, shout-outs to @STB Shujinkydink for giving me advice on our coating method. I really appreciate the help.

I don't post much on TYM. It's very likely that you won't know my name unless you live in the Pacific Northwest. But, I'm very passionate about fighting games, specifically Mortal Kombat. I'm also really into fightstick customization (even though I don't use one). I've recently started making custom balltops with my sister Beatnic, and we figured we'd contribute a little something to the community.

Without further ado, I present to you the Mortal Kombat X Prize Balltop!



Slapstick Customs has been working with Northwest Majors, and we're proud to announce our MKX balltop. It's an exclusive balltop that will be awarded to the top 3 players in MKX at NWM7. It's going to be exclusive, so this is the only chance you'll have to win one.

This is just a 3D rendering of the product, because it's going to be 3D printed. The completed balltop will be a sight to see, believe you me! Check out our blog post listed below to get more info on the product, and let me know if you have any questions.

Lol, i seriously doubt it. Waaay too much ki since December. I look for trevar, dink and richard to do really well in injustice. I've kinda quit the game but im gonna start back up one last time for NWM

Honestly, I have no idea who's gonna do well in this one. We'll get a better idea when it releases. Dink, Trevar, and Richard are great players, but I feel that Duncan and Reggie pick up new fighting games faster. It is only a couple weeks after release.

Oh my mistake, i meant just for injustice. Ya i agree, who knows who will win mkx? I dont. A week old, anything can happen. May the best broken tech win at that point

To pad warriors my advice to you is to get first and second then hang them from your pad like truck nuts.

I would hope that they would keep it as a kind of trophy in that case, but if they win it they can whatever they like with it. It will still be one of a kind regardless of what happens.

It was kind of a spur of the moment idea I had a couple months back. Now that I know people are genuinely interested in this kind of thing I have an entire year to prepare something for NWM8. Something that appeals more to Pad Players as well.

Why not do what Evo did with the ken hat awhile back. If I remember correctly, too placing ken took the hat. You can do top placing stick players

I think it was a amazing and original idea and I hope whoever wins keeps it. It also looks fucking sick above all else. GL with your tourney I will be watching for sure!!
