Here's my final word on the DLC. My prediction is based simply on my mantra of "in the comic, in the game." And rumors/leaks wich are pretty much never wrong lol.

Kombat pack-
Reiko- in comic, he's obviously coming
Fujin
Frost- my dark horse. Was in comic.

Yes that's 1 guest. Everyone says "But they said guests and returns! The (S) means plural so it has to be 2 and 2!" WRONG! It easily could just be a turn of phrase. If I have 1 carrot and 2 apples, I can still say "I have a combination of carrots and apples." Both mk9 and inj had only one guest DLC in their pack. Kratos was PS, doesn't count.

As rumored, we will get the predator pack in June. That's predator and also Carl weathers character Dillon. The rumor said they had a source. That's shaky but iv yet to hear a rumor or leak that wasn't true.

Nope. "The Kombat Pack features Klassic Kombatants and Iconic Guest Characters." That's taken from Steam. 2 guest characters, go ahead and ask someone from NRS if you want to for further confirmation. Just because the previous games had 1 guest doesn't mean they can't...gasp...add more. Look at Injustice, it had 6 DLC. 'But surely they wouldn't do that? MK9 only had 4 DLC!' See my point?

As for that Predator and Al Dillon thing, that's the stupidest rumour to go viral I've seen yet. The only evidence the original article had was "a source says", that's nothing! That means literally nothing. I could make an article saying "A source says the upcoming DLC for Mortal Kombat X will include the children's show Teletubbies protagonists Tinky Winky and LaLa. This information comes roughly 5 weeks before the release of the game due out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PC." and it has the exact same credibility. Seriously, just because the words "a source" are in it doesn't mean the source is credible. That was an easy-to-make clickbait article and nothing more, there is no legit evidence there. I'm surprised people have fallen for it so easily. Spawn being DLC has much more credibility right now as the creator of Spawn himself has actually stated that he has a short deal with NRS saying that they can use him if they want to.

No he didn't, that's a bad assumption. Look up the tweet, he doesn't say exactly 5. He says there are 5 but that doesn't mean there couldn't be more...

I see all this arguing over the roster. And then I just basically want kenshi and I am happy, and it seems like he is 99.9% confirmed so I am happy. Although I certainly wouldn't mind seeing fujin, rain, tremor, jax, Johnny cage, Sonya etc. In short, I feel like I'm one of the few people happy with the roster XD

And yet am I happy with the roster ?
Nope, because even though it could be worth, I try to remain impartial, and I look at the balance between the characters, in term of design, factions / sides belonging, family members, and this is obviously a pretty meh roster.
The gameplay of those characters can still be pretty good, but I totally understand the angry fans, especially those whose fav did not make it.

If they learned anything from Injustice they'll abandon giving each a dedicated box and go back to something like MKvDC where you just hit a button like R1 and cycle through them.

Idk I didn't like that at all, MK9 was good, Injustice if they did 2 more characters it would've been good, I feel like the random select (?) in mkx is useless, I think they should use the middle space for the dlc

That changes my opinion how? I actually think it is a really good roster, even if kenshi wasn't in it, the only thing that I think would make it better personally is more original new characters. But as of right now I think that the roster is fine as is, I can see where the other people are coming from not having who they wanted in the game, hell I was actually really hoping for movado, but I think that this roster is really damn good over all

Im well aware of the wording and phrasing. Im saying you are putting way too much stock in the (S) after guest characters. Kenshi is 100% confirmed rest easy ^_^ and the only real disappointment shouldbe that the roster is smaller than MK9's

He's playable at GDC. He's confirmed. Actual confirmed, not mk fanbase confirmed.

No, I'm not, I'm just reading it like anyone else would. If you had 1 carrot and 3 apples you wouldn't say that, you'd say "I have a carrot and some apples" or "I have some apples and a carrot" because that's exactly what you have. You're stretching. If it's not obviously plural to you I don't know what to say. By your logic we could also insinuate there will actually be 3 guest characters and only 1 returning character, but you wouldn't because it says "Klassic Kombatants". It's not hard to work out, you're just looking into it too much. Or you really hate guest characters and don't want to see two lol.

No, looking into it too much is taking their phrasing literally. You are saying that because of the (S) it is written in stone that there are 2 guests and 2 classics since its plural on both. I understand the grammar implication, but I am saying dont take it literally and it could be either way. Could be 1 guest, could be 2. So by saying it HAS to be that certain way, that is the stretch. Also your carrot and apple correction is fine but my example also is correct. "Carrot(S) and apple(S)" simply implies that a mix of both is included, not that there has to be multiples of both. NRS isnt worried about being taken to court over the use of an (S) when there is only 1 guest if that were the case.

I know this is a dumb argument, but hey we have nothing else to talk about really. Im happy to agree to disagree.
