Did you just read what i said? They screwed up in MK9. If they wanna retcon his eye color than they should just be consistent and not change it every game.
Sometimes he has red eyes, sometimes not. Decide NRS!

And they decided their eyes have to be white/yellow (in the dark) from mk9. MK9 is a kind of reboot.

I'm really not understanding why people think Sonya's attitude is irrational. Do you not remember the events of MK9? Do you not remember what Sonya went through the last time she dealt with Outworld?

I have to say I'm on Sonya's side here. If some random Outworlder showed up in EarthRealm and explained that he want to "work" with me after what I'd seen in the past, I'd probably tell him to fuck off as well.

Kotal Kahn is not some "random Outworlder," he's the ruler of Outworld.

And like I said in my other post, much has happened during and after the Netherrealm War including a promise to ally in times of need for the betterment of both Realms. Now if Sonya's personal experiences and biases make it harder for her to think and act rationally when dealing with Outworld and its ambassadors, then perhaps someone else who is more level-headed should be doing her job.

I feel like this is a different situation though, it's not like all of Outworld was evil, it was mostly Shao Kahn and the people following him that were. Kotal is a whole new guy and apparently he was always approaching Earthrealm in a positive way, wanting to help. Of course he did it to ensure that Outworld will be safe as well, but that doesn't make him evil. Kotal was the guy betrayed by Raiden, who didn't do his part of the deal, and Sonya was an asshole all along, even though Kotal himself didn't give her any reason to be.

Totally agree. If a country invaded your country, killed a bunch of people and then wants your help you would also say fuck off.

Also Sonya has every right to be pissed right now. Her daughter got kidnapped.

When Sonya saw the photo on the phone she said "son of a bitch" or something like that, then we see lots of missed calls from Johnny. What if Johnny wanted to warn her about something? Also it would make sense for Erron to teleport them somewhere safe then. I dunno, maybe I'm crazy, but I have this weird feeling...

My laughter will know no end if Erron Black is Cage in disguise. Then in-game he doesn't even exist, only Johnny Cage. Ah yes, do it NRS, please do it!

Yeah, but to Sonya he is indeed some "random Outworlder." And who else would do her job? EarthRealmers didn't even know Outworld existed for the longest time, it's not like anyone has much experience in that area.

How the hell, is Johnny going to be able to raise Cassie (we know she spent more time with Johnny growing up as she says Sonya's never there for her and she is able to quote life lessons from him) and become a badass warrior, proficient with weapons, gain Kotal Kahn's trust and become one of his most trusted warriors at the same time?

Wait, do you think Outworld is comprised entirely of the Osh-Tekk? You do know Kotal is the Kahn of the entirety of Outworld right? That's multiple races of people with different opinions and agendas. Why would you assume Sonya would go out of her way to find the Osh-Tekk specifically when she could literally just ask Joe Schmoe on the street and get her answer.

Because she couldn't? Mileena's area is not only "underground", but Kotal's trip there wasn't exactly commonwealth news that any Outworld Joe Schmoe would know about. Likewise its not like she just blipped onto Mileena's secret base, or happened to be in the area right as Kotal comes in.

There has to be something more here.

Why not? If Johnny wanted to warn her about something, maybe the Red Dragon kidnapping/attacking her and she didn't pick up the phone cause she was fighting Frost, how doesn't it make sense? Since he couldn't warn her, he went there and saved her.

When we first saw her in Raiden's vision she had the same eyes as the latest issue. Only the issue with the guest artist had the MK9 cat eyes.

Here are all the images we have seen of her eyes in order of appearance.

I'm going to wager it was simply an error on the part of the guest artist.

I personally thought the cat eyes were cool and set her even further apart from Kitana.

ALSO, daaaaamn. Kotal Kahn is a baller. I am loving all the new characters.

Issue 8 is the best issue so far, because it's the first time you get to see Rain.

For the Goro thing Goro could still end up dead in the comics & be in MKX but just have no real story relevance. He could just have a Gaiden style story like dead characters in multiple fighting games have. Hell Justice in GG has veen dead for years but still showed up in Gaiden Stories for funsies.

Yes he made an announcement among his people that his father is going out. Meaning she would have to go to the Osh-Tekk area to find out anything about it. He never made any announcement that he, himself, was going out, and I doubt it would play over well since this all happened in the span of one 24 hour period of time and he dabbled in some forbidden-looking kamidogu god pleasing. In fact, only Goro makes any kind of mention about it among his people, and thats right before the battle. She has to end up in one of two places to have any information about any of this whatsoever, and we know it isn't the second.

She also isn't going to just be able to waltz over since Kotal and the troops are mounted on what seem to be pretty fast beasts to get there, making it not exactly "walking distance" and travel between realms isn't a simple feat either. Plus even if everyone knew what his father went to do, no one actually knows where Goro and Mileena are, so that theory falls flat because even if she knew what was happening, its not likely she knows where.

Wouldn't be possible. Erron is there when the first speech is given, meaning Sonya doesn't have a reason to go to outworld yet. Likewise the portal stone is used, meaning this would have to be occuring outside of the eyes of Kotal (assuming he is innocent). This means while he is already on his way to battle, or the night before.

Within a 24 hour period, his father dies and he rides out. Somewhere in this time period (during the night I might add), Sonya finally picks up the phone and sees what happened. Meaning she has in the area of (judging by the sun it would be about mid-day granted Outworld doesn't have 3 or 4 suns) 12 to 14 hours to not only go and gather enough people and proper transport, but also survey the city, get information about an event that is happening with no known result to the public at large, determine that Kotal left even though no one would know about that, track him through the deserts while he is mounted on a beast with no mode of transport, get to Mileena's area, somehow get to where they are, aim a gun, and shoot.

(This is all assuming the days and nights share a cycle between the realms and have the same length)

All of this without being noticed by anyone, both Mileena's guards (who are trained assassins) and the Osh-Tekk who would have no reason not to kill her on sight...

I think this all has to do with some Raiden foresight and magic. Maybe some Kamidogu abuse.

Kittelsen already confirmed on twitter a long ass time ago that Cage isn't Erron Black. oh and goro has always had red eyes
