What weakness do you want to improve when MKX drops?

Being patient and try to get in the smart way if I have to.

Defense which is improving a lot when I was playing Killer Instinct.

Really focusing to my opponent and reading there move which is improving greatly playing Ki.


By the time mkx comes out my fundamentals should be top notch.

My biggest weakness: Inconsistency, I'm either really really good or really really bad, I dont know why, I'm never just an average player, fighting me is either like playing a great player or someone who never played a FG.. and secondly sticking the game out no matter if you cant find any training partners (which was my biggest problem in MK9 and IGAU). Plenty of UK players and only played a handful of them.. hmm

My weakness is getting out of pressure, specially from the corner. Frame traps annihilate me. I barely won any matches against Cage in MK9.

My AA isn't that great either. I never mastered the standing 1/2 AA in MK9 although Sektor's t rex arms made it even more difficult than it is with most other characters.

My game is always based on mix ups and heavy combo punishes. Some of my friends mockingly call me combo master.

As a Sektor main myself, I have the exact same issues...

But my absolute biggest weakness is Time (I spend probably the least amount of time playing the actual games cause I run a IT dept at a lawfirm + 2 kids and psycho wife)...

Speaking of blowing....what do you think about mia khalifa and those death threats being that shes from your country? I find the situation very fascinating (before anyone looks her up its very very not suitable for work or in public areas to do so)

For myself, I'm going to try and work on staying calm and collected during each fight. Too often I'll get worked up by my own mistakes in failing to block something or get around something and end up just getting flustered and entering a negative spiral.

In MKX I'm really going to work on just being relaxed and focussed and approaching each situation analytically and avoiding frustration.

My biggest weakness is my on the fly risk vs reward decision making skills. I seem to always play too safe when I should have pressured, and play too aggressive when I could have stayed alive. I need to work on this, but I'm not sure how one goes about this systematically. When I'm watching, I always get it right. I can see exactly what player should or shouldn't be doing. It's just when I'm in the moment, it all just flies right out the window.

Yea I get what you are saying here. Its really no way to systematically set it up, especially when good opponents are constantly switching up. I think this is based upon your opponents habits during offense and defense. And you would just have to decide in the moment. That within itself is a muscle that needs to be worked out to get used to it.

lol, people are morons. It's a stupid situation whereby Arabs continue to be an embarrassment by clinging to obtuse things. As if a pornstar living in the US is somehow bringing more shame to Lebanon than Lebanese people are bringing on themselves. We haven't had a president for a year now and yet people are concerned with some girl sucking cock on camera. I personally am recovering at home after a hernia operation and Mia has been a great companion in these times of boredom #LeaveMiaAlone

What I'm currently working on improving is when to be disrespectful, sometimes I feel like I play with a little too much respect. Gotta make em earn it first! Another is improving upclose pressure when there's no 50/50 involved. I tend to go on autopilot when I use Batman or Kabal. I want to get better at calculated rushdown. Good thread!

For me, the biggest weakness I have is simply not playing. For whatever reasons, I never really played MK9 or IGAU, so simply playing more would resolve that. Whether I can do that or not is a different story completely, LOL.

Remember how reliable anti-aerial attacks were in Mortal Kombat 9? Sinestro players will have to be reminded. They spam aerial axe and jump like kangaroos when you are zoning them.

Sorry that jumping is the only way to mix people up. You wouldn't know what that is like having actual 50/50's and no issue opening people up.

But no, seriously, my biggest weaknesses come from not spending enough time in the lab on my character. Ill run the usual combos/setups, but not really testing things against my opponents opposition.

Not getting sets with other players. One of the biggest reasons i havent properly learned my matchups in and out. Too much time spent in ranked, not enough time actually improving.

I need to make better reads.

I need to work on my adaption within a match. Not 5 or 6 matches in a set.

My defense is poor. It's getting somewhat better. But when a Batman player dashes in on me and does b1 and I get hit cause I think hes going overhead; I just facepalm.

I need to realize what character I'm fighting and change up my gameplan. Example would be fighting a Sinestro than in another set fighting Harley.
