(new?) cyrax 14% reset

if you launch a medium bomb at point blank range (in your opponents face) and do 212 right after they get hit by the 212 for 14%. They cant wake up or roll and get launched by the bomb. if they block the 212 there is enough push back on block for the bomb to launch them still. Here is an example, i know they can jump out after an air net but i see alot of cyraxs still trying the mid bomb 22 after an air net so i found this.


of course this isn't practical as you would never shoot a bomb right next to your opponent but after they drop from an air net you might be able to get it off similar how people do mid bomb 22 after an air net. I have to do more testing on this and really am sorry if its already known. just another leak in the boat.


also just for fun a 40% reset while they are still in the game Jip 33~net Jip 33~exbomb midbomb 21~closebomb (step back) 3~buzzsaw (vid below)



and here is another reset that doesn't involve 33~buzzsaw..
Jip 33~net Jip 33~exbomb midbomb 21~closebomb 1~buzzsaw (for this and the 40% reset you need to input the midbomb without cyrax moving forward at all so you have to input it quickly) (vid below)


so i really hope nrs takes out any strings that can link into buzzsaw. i dont remember where i heard it but i heard nrs was going to take out 33~buzzsaw to prevent resets..well if 1~buzzsaw can reset then the buzzsaw shouldn't be able to cancel at all.

I've tested this many times, I'll link my posts. They can do a wake up before the close bomb explodes.

I've seen many players use 21 dash a little 121 as a string from a regular bomb launch.

IIRC, if you have no meter, you can also do: NAKED NET, NJP1, B2, 21, 121 Short or medium bomb for a set up too. I think it ends in 26%. Or if you setup you manage to get in a JIP 33,21 or 12 and follow the above, you end at 34%. IIRC.

I've been messing around with this combo too:

NET, JIP1, 21, EXFF4, FF4, 33, BB4, NJP (Got to time it right) at this point the opponent will slightly fly over your head, you can upper cut for an easy almost 52% combo or you can DF1 for 49%.

The above combo is in 2 parts, and is a reset (non BF2 or BB3). First part is total of 7 hits clocking in at 25%, and the half is 4 hits ending at 27% total of 52%.

After the second bomb explodes, and your opponents flies over your head, you can also 33 into net, but you have to move back slightly. You can ALSO start dashing backwards after the NJP which will make the opponent stay in front of you and can catch them with a 33 net, back 2, than Rag Doll. Totaling 59% damage with one bar ;). This applies to both situations, if you let your opponent fly over, or you dash back, and keep them in front, you'll end with 59%.

Also if the NJP Whiffs you have time to do a DF1, because of the second bomb. So it's good all around IMO.

I don't even know if this is new tech or not, it sounds like it is pretty old. But it's interesting to me, just found it out.
It can be further tested, but, without BuzzSaw grounding them to close bomb, this reset doesn't work.

I believe NRS is making it so you can't use double nets in combos, and BF2 on Bomb doesn't work, I think. I'm sure of the double net reset being taking out, where you can ONLY do one net per combo, unclear what they're doing about the BF2.

EDIT: NEVER MIND. Just saw you WERE using a BuzzSaw to ground them. Yes you can link any thing into a BuzzSaw on a Bomb as long as it gives you enough buffer time to let the Bomb tick before to go for the reset, it's not STRICTLY 33 in all situations. You can go for 21, 12, or 33, to fill the gap before resetting.

ill post a vid.. i had a human and computer test this and they couldn't escape..the timings a bit tricky but they couldnt get outta it.

It can be further tested, but, without BuzzSaw grounding them to close bomb, this reset doesn't work.

Just realized it, check the Edit :). Any way it'll be pointless in the next patch, I don't bother with learning BF2 or Double Net resets.

Here a nice BnB. JIP 12,21, or 33 NET. 21EXBomb, Close Bomb, Anti-Air, 121 Mid Bomb, or 12 Saw. It's probably known. But W/E.

updated with video, i tried recording the last 2 vids with the AI to wake up but the recording feature was spazzing out and wouldnt record properly (it would add moves and jumps) so i just showed you the reset and hope you see that they are unescapable

the first reset i found a while back. Its in my round 4 vid. the others have been known for a while. im curious if the new patch will also kill the first reset.

Usually after the 21 mid bomb the opponent will just stand there trying to attack but the 212 will catch them. If they block, instead of 24% they will eat 17%. but the only bad thing is, this set up is escapable but not many know. So go try it! Oh you can also try 121 instead of 212 at the end to pop them in the air for a combo of your choice. Try it!

I get stuffed with wake ups before I can connect the 212.

yea that happens to me at times. but it depends who you playing against. if i did it once and i get stuffed with a wake up or that persons jumps, i know not to try it again. but most of the time people would just stand there and block.
