It's pretty much a lock for PS4 at this point.

However, a surprising number of players are buying it for XB1, presumably because they are comfortable with Xbox/XBL/MS.

Whatever happened with different games on a different console has zero influence as to what will happen with what system MKX is ran on. I guess Marvel 3 tournies should be ran on a Sega Dreamcast over the Xbox 360 if that was the case.

I doubt XB1 will run MKX better. If anything, the PS4 will. It's likely that neither console will matter this generation, though. Both consoles are very similar in terms of power, and run similar hardware. Most multiconsole games so far appear to be better on PS4, though.

Nah, man. I'm indifferent to Sony and Microsoft, but the PS4 is clearly dominating in every regard. Higher native resolution and FPS for pretty much all multi-platform games. Microsoft fucked up when they focused on the One being a media hub first and a gaming device second.

I don't own a PS4. Won't for some time honestly. I got bills and real world debt responsibilities to attend to before I can toss around hundreds at a time on another console when so many games released can be bought and played for systems I own or the PC. I miss very little with next gen being here by simply having a high end PC and a Wii U.

That said I'm thinking I'll have to go PS3. PC would look the best but consistently it gets the smallest online crowd and so far hasn't shone very well in online anyhow...though I'll be trying to find a good time to double dip of course just like I did with Injustice. Its fun modding outfits and alts and the game looked tight on PC. Anyhow, I'll be on PS3 if anyone else is still with me who wants to play. Though I have one question...is MKX crossplay like some PS titles? I know I can supposedly play warriors orochi 3 ultimate on PS3 with players using the PS4...can MKX do the same?

Whatever console is used by the most players attending a given tournament should be standard.... Though I'm kinda on the fence about this when it comes to last gen systems, because I want MKX to be seen in all it's graphical glory on XONE or PS4 next gen.

I'll be buying both the PS4 and XONE fightpads for MKX that they are making, so I can switch relatively smoothly between consoles for tournaments anyway. so either console is good with me.

MK doesn't get to decide what the tourney standard is, SF5 decided that for all fighting games going forward.

It is to my understanding that the entire reason we ran mk9 on ps3 (even though it had massive issues running the game) was that evo was sponsored by Sony so they were using ps3 at evo. Xbox started sponsoring evo which is why we ran injustice on xbox.

Why would this not be the case now? In my opinion, it will depend on who is sponsoring evo.

Cronus max converters are banned due to macros, outside of them randomly killing consoles.

I don't think Street Fighter decides much for this community...But, we'll see I guess...

TO's will NEED ps4's for SF5, which in turn creates no desire to dig out Xbox One's for other games, and will save a lot of headaches in players needing sticks/controllers to work on both systems. Whatever MKX would have gravitated to naturally does not matter because SF5 basically made the choice for all fighting games for this generation of consoles.
