Here are the current top 20 Injustice players according to the prestigious SRK rankings. Which of these players do you think are carried by their main and which ones are held back by their main? Perhaps it's a bit of both. Explain your opinions if you can.
1. Sonic Fox
2. Theo
3. Jupiter
4. Forever King
5. KDZ
6. 16 Bit
7. Pig of the Hut
8. Perfect Legend
9. Whiteboi
10. Wound Cowboy
11. Honeybee
12. Pimpimjim
13. Darth Arma
14. Chris G
15. Rico Suave
16. DJT
17. Blind Ducky
18. Tyrant
19. MIT
20. Biohazard
1. Sonic Fox
Carried. Batgirl amplifies Sonic Fox mentality and play style. No mortal can deal with the shit this guy puts you through when he's playing Batgirl. His performance outside of playing Batgirl is very good. However, I believe Sonic Fox would be unable to consistently dominate without Batgirl.
2. Theo
Carried. Much like Sonic Fox, Aquaman amplifies Theo's play style. In 2014 a tournament player highlighted a weakness in Theo's game and exposed his ability to mount an offense. Without the ability to lean on Aquaman's powerful defensive capabilities Theo would not be such a dominant player.
3. Jupiter
Right where he should be. Jupiter is a very smart player with quick reflexes and has a very balanced play style. Martian Manhunter does not carry this player.
4. Forever King
Right where he should be. Performs very well and then magically runs into the famous counter-pick Aquawall.
5. KDZ
Carried. Performance drops along with character nerfs indicate his early success was slightly attributed to the abuse of overpowered tools as he continues to perform well given the normalization's to his character.
6. 16 Bit
Held back. 16 Bit's ability to overcome bad MU's are attributed to the opponents lack of knowledge on how to fight his character. The troubles of playing Catwoman become apparent when he is faced with an informed opponent.
7. Pig of the Hut
Right where he should be. Inability to effectively use IAZB shows Pig's ability to use a character without taking advantage of one of the characters most powerful tools.
8. Perfect Legend
Right where he should be. He does not focus on any particular character. He wins some and looses some.
9. Whiteboi
Held back. The more I see Whiteboi play Doomsday the more I see his player skill and the less of "Dumbsday". It becomes apparent that Dumsday does not work when he is fighting competent opponents and must rely on his skill as a player and how to use his characters tools to go around the issues that come with playing Doomsday.
10. Wound Cowboy
Carried. Giving a player with footsies as strong as Wound Cowboy a vortex is ludicrous. Regardless, Wound Cowboy would still be placing without such tools because he doesn't need them to win and is a phenomenal player.
11. Honeybee
Carried. Very strong execution and reflexes. The fact that Flash can touch you once and you die prevents the viewers from seeing his player skill outside of twitch reflex play.
12. Pimpimjim
Held back. Very entertaining player to watch use mediocre characters at a high level. Mastering so many characters prevents him from truly breaking through as he will be at a character experience disadvantage against most of his opponents who focus on less characters.
13. Darth Arma
Right where he should be. Strong Batman player who makes slightly uphill match ups look even and is really only struggling against a strong counter-pick. His placings reflect his skill.
14. Chris G
Lol.
15. Rico Suave
Carried. Strong well rounded player but his performance reflects his time investment in the game and also was subject to what happened to KDZ with his character.
16. DJT
Held back. His weakness is to unreactable mind games (vortex, hkd setups, 50/50's) and bad MU's which is very cemented at the core of Injustice play. Outside of this DJT is an extremely strong player with superb footsies.
17. Blind Ducky
Held fucking back. Incredible display of spacing, zoning mind games and reading of his opponent.
18. Tyrant
Held back. Tyrant's struggle becomes real and his ability to overcome them even further demonstrates just how good he really is.
19. MIT
Right where he should be. Very cunning player. Doesn't seem to spend as much time mastering his character as other tournament players and has a diverse selection of characters he is proficient with. His placings show he has the potential to win the big tournaments however.
20. Biohazard
Right where he should be. Appears to do well in even or advantage match ups and bad in bad match ups. His performance seems to reflect his characters ability play match ups.
