What's new

Hi guys, I'm PickelledEggs

How's it going. I'm PickelledEggs and am new to the site. I'm also semi-new to the fighting game scene, but either way I'm excited to be here.

Back in the '90s I played MK 1 and 2 religiously with my next door neighbor. I was never any good and being that it was my neighbor's game, he would wreck me every match, but I loved playing it anyway. My favorite character was and still is Sub Zero and I'm really hoping that he's decent in MKX.

Recently I was introduced to the Injustice scene by Decay. He invited me to watch him play at The Break in Dunellen and let me try a few casual matches and I instantly got hooked. I got the game that night when I got home and installed it and picked a character to main with. I went a few more times to The Break and even entered, knowing I was going to lose, but I feel like I learned a lot from playing such high skilled gamers.

BTW, I have injustice for Steam on my PC, which was a big mistake..... lol

Anything else you guys would like to know about me, just ask!

PS: Yes I know 'pickled' is spelled wrong. That whole name is a long story.... haha.

To answer in order:
I'm a big fan of the show "Trailer Park Boys" and there is a few episodes where they talk about this one character's (Bubbles is the character's name) love for pickled eggs. They even get the guy a huge jar of them in one of the episodes... ANYWAY... During my time working for a cell phone retailer, I figured it would be a good idea to make them from scratch and bring them in for snacks to tide my hunger over. The recipe I used had some..... really BAD info.... telling me that I should leave it in a cool dark cabinet and no refrigeration is necessary. I got to work that Sunday (I had to work Sundays alone from how slow it was) and after downing a few, I started feeling really sick. Coldest sweats I have ever had. So then I decided that it was a funny story and I should make it a gamer tag.... but I spelled it wrong and after having a few games in my Steam account with my name spelled like that, I just left it and now I use it for most of my internet pseudonyms... except Blizzard. Blizzard doesn't allow that many characters.

I don't know if I necessarily like ponies, but I definitely have no distaste for them. lol

I am learning to main Harley. I like how she functions in the game and I like her interesting persona. And I was thinking about getting MK9, but I would be getting it for Steam... and knowing how poorly populated the PC Injustice community is, I was kind of scared to invest in another game that would possibly have shit online play. In fact, until recently, Steam's Injustice online servers were, I think, completely broken. I was calling WB's tech support for at least 2 months straight before they elevated the problem I was having (and everyone else in the steam forums) to a higher tier. I eventually got an email from the higher tier support telling me some trouble shooting tips that I already did many times and I think they just went and applied a patch to the server eventually.... because there was a few days where you wouldn't even have an option to go to "online" mode for multiplayer and after that error went away, there are people showing up in the lobby. Not much... and there isn't enough population for me to get a match through quick match, but at least it's working. I guess the PC Injustice community has to grow back.... or grow in the first place.

Thank you for the welcome!

Warning this site is filled with scrubs, trolls, know it alls and a few decent knowledgeable people.
I can deal with scrubs and trolls lol. I actually moderate a different forum that has such psycho/persistent trolls that we needed to install forum software to auto-block the guy's sock-puppet accounts. But don't worry. I've been around the internet long enough to know when someone is trolling and not to feed the trolls.

hi pickelled.
about injustice on a pc... yeah, u're right about that one. injustice on a pc aint cutting it, in none country.
though mk9, i cant imagine playing on a console. Eastern Europe has amazing pc players in mk9, and will most likely EU-s scene in mk10 will be PC as well. as a matter of fact, i advice you to buy the game on both platforms, ps4 and pc as well :)

So MK9 has a well populated community? Hmmm....... I may just get it then.

I might want it for PS4, but I don't really play console games (although I am really loving my Wii U.... lol) MKX would be the only game I would be playing on it :( Maybe when ps4 gets a price drop, I'll get it.
