I hate to do this, but I actually don't think it will work out this time either, stuff I have to do keeps not going away :(
Having said that, I'm essentially 100% for CECC2

Mortal Komhat

Worst Well-Established Goro Player Ever
I've been labbing it up with Aqua, just to experiment stuff on my own and shit.

I love this character so much. Half-screen (relatively unsafe) overhead into full combo is like... so stupid.

Pest0Swami

MTL's Worst Player.
The scene needs a top tier player who isn't a martian manhunter. Plus Aquaman would help blow up the Meowmixuparmy.

be the change you wish to see in your scene.

To be fair though, I see a lot of Shazams picked up Aquaman. I dunno what symbiotic relationship exists with these two characters but the playstyles are transferable yet complement each other fairly well.

Still, 42% off of a half-screen overhead (that only doesn't work if you hit them on the very tip of the goddamn trident and let's face it you can just convert into something else since you have all day to fucking process it) is just mindblowing to me at the moment.

I'd make a Montreal Thread Spectacular comparison but I think we've had enough dick talk in here.

It's difficult to identify a top player in our scene because most of the guys picked up the game 12 months after it's release and comparing them to the day 1 players of our scene is an inaccurate measure of true skill due to lack of game mechanic and match up knowledge which is something you need a lot of in Injustice to succeed. Jer and Hatman are the only two guys who consistently tech throws so what does that say about the rest of us? Is it possible if they had been playing the game day 1 and knew how the game mechanics functioned and knew all the match ups that maybe, just maybe they would be a fuck ton better and put us all on blast?
Upon MKX's release we will see where everybody really stands in terms of fundamentals because we will all be starting on equal footing and a day 1.

Although @Jer and I don't play inj, we have been playing a lot of MK (well I do at least). So it is not like we are sitting around doing nothing.
Jer and I are the only M.A.T champs in montreal for the nrs scene. Just sayin' ;)

The strength of the half screen overhead doesn't even lie in it's ability to convert for big damage (although that is clearly one of it's advantages). It's real value lies in the ability to cancel it into Trident rush giving AM three fantastic options for different spacing to build the meter and chip people like crazy. It's also a very effective AA.

Up close d1~TR
footsies/sweep range b1,2~TR
jump range that huge overhead ~ TR

Completely disagree.

Top player right now at our locals (that shows regularly) is Krys. No doubt about it.

He wins week in and week out, was season 1 champ for IGAU and MK9. Displays MU knowledge, good footsies, zoning and converts at a very high level.

Day 1 player or not, he is our number one guy currently without a doubt, imo.
