Yes, like 50 people. 50 people whose collective usage is probably about 10 hours a month and only netflix or hulu or some shit. Those are the people who are gonna say fuck this and buy a Chromecast. Nobody else is going to rebuy their gaming library and change their entertainment habits just cause the internet stops working for a weekend. All this does is make the people who have nothing to do with whatever they're raging about suffer. The assholes who make the unethical business decisions that cheese people off aren't going to lose a single wink of sleep over this. If it gets really eggregious, MS will throw a couple free digital games out or a month of live at everyone and all will be forgiven and forgotten.

Need a reminder? Hackers took PSN down for like a month in 2012. Did the PS3 die? Did Sony's marketshare drop? Did a single developer jump ship or pull servers? Was there some sort of massive player exodus to xbox? No. Most people don't even remember it.

"Hacking groups" have no fucking clue what activism is.

Xbox has not been "hacked". The group is doing what is known as a denial of service attack. This is where you basically take a bunch of servers and make them ping a target at the same time to the point where they are sending so much information at once to the target that it's bandwidth is overloaded and it can no longer stay online.

"hacked" sounds better than "a bunch of man-children are being douchebags" so we're going to go with hacked.
