Tech Disrespectful Batman 41% Corner Reset

Never seen anyone do this, so I thought I'd post it. I do J3, 123, 3, MB Up Batarang, 3, MB Grapple, 3, Trait(F3 or B1). I use 3, Trait instead of B11, Trait because it's less obvious and it does more damage. From there you make them guess F3 or B1. If you don't have trait available or don't want to use it, you can opt for the whiffed normal into ambiguous J3 setup.

This is cool. It might be good to catch those who are familiar with Batman's corner 50/50 off guard since they'll be blocking high one way or the other. But once they have it scouted it's better to just go for his standard corner 50/50 (end combo with neutral j2, then either do a cross up j2 or cross up j3...except the j3 wouldn't cross up).

Yeah, like Chef pointed out above, there's no guessing involved with F3. Opponent can just block low and fuzzy.

The ambiguous cross-up in the corner shouldn't involve whiffed normals by the way (that's just mid screen). You just do neutral jump 2 to end the combo (on hit) and then go into J2 or J3 as ambiguous cross-up/non cross up.

Another disrespectful mixup option that I've used-- arguably the most disrespectful, is to walk back and whiff a normal after the grapple reset, as if you're preparing to do the ambiguous crossup, and then quickly walk forward and do the Back + 1 low.
Goddamn hilarious mixup, RIP 50-50, welcome 33/33/33.

It's literally an unseeable 50/50 that happens when they choose which jump normal to hit, so who I don't think playing you guys will suddenly change how it works... lol

Yeah. It's Batman's one true 50/50 and it's impossible to see because the jumping animation is the same (he's jumping over you as if he's crossing you up) but then, whether it does cross up or not purely depends on the normal you use. It's also foolproof 100%. As in, unlike some characters' F3 cross-ups shenanigans, or even Batman's midscreen MB grapple reset, it's not dependent on timing or distance. You're just right in your opponent's face, you do neutral j2, and then you jump over them. There's no way to accidentally cross them up if you didn't want to, or vice versa.

Technically he has one more, where you grapple someone, hit them with a j2 or something (I forget) then do an instant jump 1 or 2 for overhead, or a b1 for low. J2 only works on tall characters though, so you have to do j1 xx air money on most characters.

It's pretty hard, except for on really tall characters like lex.

It's a matter of conditioning, when you block low 1,000,000 times against his b1, it's easy to forget f3 exists at all and get hit by it.

Obviously, F3 is going to hit sometimes, but against people used to fighting Batman, I assure you, even in a long set, a good 80% (at least) of F3's are blocked. I've never seen Jupiter hit with a single F3.

It isn't a real mixup. Test it out in training mode. Put on autoblock and watch the AI block same side every time. Still aren't convinced? Record the combo and when Batman goes for the reset always hold same side. You will block it every time if you do a neutral J2.

When Batman players get a hit and he ends up on the other side, it isn't a crossup. Batman's jump arc just continues to push him to the other side. Blocking will stop the momentum and he will remain on the same side.

Not against batman, he has no fast overheads, you can literally just low block and react to F3 which is slow as hell.

The only times F3 should hit are MBing it through something, or if they preemptively try to throw tech.

I just tried it again and I've tried it before, it's pretty easy for me to control crossup/front.

The only way I have ever gotten it to crossup is if you land the neutral J2 at the last possible frame. Batman is literally sinking into the ground, and you follow up and perform a J3. However, if you see this you can foward dash out for free.

Not true. You can control it easily.

If I am wrong, please post a video of it. I would love to actually hit people with a real mixup rather than easily blocked pressure.

If it involves that last frame neutral J2, I don't consider that easy or practical. Half the time you hit the opponent too soon and it no longer is a mixup. The other half, you miss hitting the character completely and you don't get a reset. And if you do land it, an opponent can recognize this and either dash out or block crossup.
