Ps3 Lagging

i dunno why its doing this, but it seems to happen every time i play the evil within, the game already shut itsself off at one point and put me back to the ps3 menu. and when i go to put in INjustice after playing that for a while, the game seems to lag even offline and in 1 case downright freeze...could it be something with the game? or the system? because when i put Injustice in BEFORE playing the evil within, i didnt have the problem.

I've had my ps3 for about 2 years and apart from sometimes freezing it been fine.

If it's the dust, it is quite a coincidence. Do you have a fat or slim PS3? I've had a fat edition before, and it gave a yellow light of death at the end of its life (turning on properly after a YLOD only for a few minutes so I could find out that I spent like 60 hours on Kratos in MK9, and then it died).

I've had that PS3 for around five years, and five years' worth of dust collected inside (for the most part, it was kept standing vertically). When the PS3 was unscrewed and opened, it was almost as if all its internal components were made of dust with additional dust stuffing like a mechanical turkey.

Check your PS3 for the dusty menace!

mine is the super slim, and i've had it for about 2 years, i went to one of the playstation sites and they recommended using a vacuum to suck out the dust WITHOUT opening up the system. (if i remember correctly, doesnt opening it void any warranty?)

i remember a while back jaxel said something about certain developers just straight up port games to ps3 poorly. it could be possible that it was developed on new gen technology and just wasn't ported to ps3 well, which is a big shitter. i also heard that the pc port of the evil within is buns

Oh, it only happens when you play The Evil Within? Don't worry then, that's just the game. The Evil Within runs about as well as Health.Gov.
