No. Cage definitely wins that match. All she is doing to him is zoning, and her zoning is nothing more than a nuisance (chip and slight damage). He has better normals, faster normals, better pokes, better moves, just better overall. She has nothing to help her against his pressure, especially with her having a big hitbox.


If the zoning is on point, she's tough, but he'll get in eventually, and then its GGs.

You'd have to do the uppercut before the JK connects really, and the JK is near enough instant and max range. So uppercutting is 12% but a long whiff so you risk a full combo if you just dash and block and the opponent throws an uppercut.

But I think over time I found KL cage to be more of a 5-5.

More like 3-7 for Sindel her zoning only can take her so far with 2% chip blocked Fireball or 7% Fireball.
Rooftop is like her only chance to zone freely.
Her 2-8 MUs are literally Kung Lao, Cyrax, Kabal, Smoke realm...

Her D1 is too short, her D3 suck, her 12f Uppercut is too slow, she has no armor to escape pressure. Her blocked Fireball, Step Up, Hair Whip point blank puts her -7 and she has to block Johnny's F3 meta pressure. On wake up she is free to cross up jip and jump kicks, even her U4 can't save her. Her Step Up Cartwheel can be njp combo punish or let it whiff out of range. Johnny Cage can even EX Nutpunch armor her on wake ups and even her Levitate Cancel gimmicks which gives him even more free pressure. Her jump back Air Fireball has whiff recovery which he can forward dash super good closes space, block and jab her out of the air with standing 1. He has a low hitbox while she has a big hitbox prone to his endless block strings and pressure. A top pro Johnny Cage player like Curbolicous won't ever lose to a Sindel. She is better online though.

I think what would make Sindel viable if given the right reasonable buffs better would be:
-Armor on EX Step Up as wake-up attack or on EX Low Fireball (Armor on EX Scream would be broken)
-Hair Whip on block has safe push back
-Less frames on U4 to be useful as anti-cross up attack
-More range on her D1 poke
-U3 and F3 an overhead normal
-Give her a medium sized hitbox crouching
-Standing 4 can be cancelled for a footsie tool like 4~Special

You see i was hesitant to call it a 7-3 because i felt sindel is a underrated slash unexplored... now you show me videos of an alien from outerspace doing just frame down 4 levi cancels and i am willing to reconsider my positions and apologize for saying i would wax his ass. This is somewhat how i envisioned her looking at her frames and nomrals in training mode at the highest level... but that cage isn't as good as mine, not nearly as good.

Most of these numbers i was operating under the premise of i think these characters weren't fully tapped... which i why i put reptile and smoke as 5-5s

Reptile at the highest level is a space control god, and at the highest level cage becomes much more limited... Still sindel has serious issues dealing with cage pressure, and personally i am very good at zoning and dealing with it. I am a neutral game guy. I also know sindel's frame data... I like my chances vs any sindel

Awesome Sindel. I think that Broly guy is the closest it's ever gonna get to revealing Sindel's truest potential.

I stressed multiple times that Sindel was very underrated in MK9 and even brought up the fact she has a block infinite in the corner as some of my reasons being so, lol. I really do believe people need to stop with the "no one is ever going to be able to do that" comments of the such from now on when it comes to fighting games and execution since Broly is proving the guys who say things along those lines wrong once again. Honestly, usually when players say that no one is going to be able to do something, there comes some guy from out of no where that can do it. It's happened time and time again.

Does this Broly guy play online at all? PC or 360?

No, Sindel loses. The thing is Oscar is extremely good with Sindel, and it just proves that if you're good with somebody, you can win a matchup (for the most part, excluding MU's like Jade vs Kenshi)

His Sindel is very good and his consistent D4 levi cancels make me want to marry him

No, he didn't play like Broly. There's a night and day difference between Broly's Sindel and other Sindels just by visuals. I've never played or seen a Sindel that can do d+4~levi and b+1~levi so fluid and consistent like Broly can. Heck, can any of them even do it in practice mode 10 out of 10? I would be amazed at that feat alone, let alone in actual tournament matches. Broly's insane movement with her also reeks of the by product to what you ascend to when you ONLY invest time into a character as a pure main after too many hours of experience.

Mr. Mileena was definitely the best Sindel in the US scene, however. It's just he was more of a Kitana main and Sindel wasn't his dedicated sole focus so that's why their skill on the characters are far apart. I do remember him making that "mini Kabal" comment which is kind of funny if you think about it.

I always thought Sindel was better than she got credit for (coming from a Sub-Zero player). But I just watched those vids of Broly for the first time. I feel like I'm tough to impress, but that was some of the most impressive shit I've seen in this game.

I actually felt myself getting aggravated watching all that work being done with IAFB's and Levi-cancels and then seeing Cage throw out jabs everywhere, land just one, and outdo Sindel just like that. Same with Sektor.
